I find it totally criminal that Royal Thunder aren't massive! I make everyone I know sit and listen to their albums whenever I get the chance. There is so much to love about this band.

If you like her, check out Two Minutes to Late Night with Royal Thunder. They do three covers (Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball, Kesha - Bastards and Motorhead (oh my god) - Ace of Spades) and she is absolutely insanely good in each one. *It's way more metal, fair warning*

I like their album sound but I'm more amazed how well it translates into an acoustic set. It really shows off that great songwriting underneath the distortion.

Everything about this woman is perfect. Such a powerful yet intimate voice, you can feel every word. One of my favourite songs ever is Royal Thunders' Time Machine. If you don't know it, please look it up right now. I guarantee you'll not regret it.

I think it's rare to find an artist where not only can you hear where they are singing from, but also see it. Her voice expresses a particular message, a digested truth, but you can see the raw emotion rippling across her skin, only held back by the eccentric armor she chooses to wear. The things most of us fear to feel writhe like snakes in her chest.

Can't help feeling that if you blend Stevie Nicks and Janis Joplin, and add a dash of Bonnie Raitt, you get the singular gut-wrenching haunting power of Mlny Parsonz. Top it off with a crisp, balanced undiluted rock essence and you've landed yourself a pretty terrific and woefully undervalued setup. Wishing them all the very best. Many thanks for these fine few joyful minutes, Royal Thunder!

@eldotto2330 0 seconds ago Awe man good ole Atlantan days at the Thunderbox and the Nigredo Lair with bands like Subrig Destroyer, Nigredo, Big Jesus, Oh Brother and of course Royal Thunder. Mel actually did a song with Nigredo at the Earl I think, and it’s on KZbin and the Sound is named Song of a Dying Planet and it builds up softly and and then it goes really hard.

probs a handful of people that expect Royal Thunder to be much heavier. this is like wicked root of americana digging...like young Walker Evans portraits from the dust bowl type americana shit, but performed by people who can hang with a band like Cave In.
