What a tragic story, but like he said, it was better to see the truth rather than something too sweet to be true. Evan should have his own show, whether it be a a speaker series or documentary following his work, or an educational series...he'd be great at all of them.

Hmmmm I find it interesting that you would question the validity of your ancestors stories, but I think to my own discoveries from Metis cousins and family reunions are lively when storytelling happens because most people have heard the stories with different characters or spins. Thank God that the colonial pioneers took photos and kept documentation that enabled you to find the connection to your family.

I believe that's his point, they are stories with different characters and spins so what is real, what is embellished, what are false memories.
