When I see British Royal always watching the Wimbledon final that I thought it is a traditional event for them. However from this video I can see Duchess Cambridge is a good tennis player too. Also, she and Emma Raducanu look alike on the tennis court. Amazing!

I enjoyed the performance of the newly crowned US tennis Open women’s tennis championship final and won by a 18 year old girl, Emma Raducanu, also amazed by her interview skills. Most of all, was when I saw Duchess Cambridge could play tennis like a professional that really surprised me. Of course, both Kate and Emma look like sisters that is really nice. I hope they will influence the young people that honesty and hard work will be rewarded at the end. May God bless us all

It is a traditional event, but the royal family splits the traditional events between them according to interest. So Wimbledon was the Duke and Duchess of Kent (the Queen's cousin and his wife) for many years (if you remember the 1993 final, it was the Duchess of Kent who held Jana Novotna when she cried); the Cambridges have taken that duty over in recent years. The Queen herself hasn't been to Wimbledon since 1977 as she is not interested in tennis. Her Majesty used to do many more of these duties because there were very few other royals when she came to the throne (there were only six living adult royals at the time of her accession, there are now more than 20); she dropped many of the things that she personally found uninteresting after her Silver Jubilee in 1977. Right across the family, there is a wide variety of interest in many sports - the Dukes of Cambridge and Sussex are both noted football (soccer) fans, the Princess Royal likes rugby union, show-jumping and eventing (in which she competed at the Olympics, as did her daughter Zara Philips), the Queen and the Duchess of Cornwall are big fans of horse racing, and there are undoubtedly more examples that don't immediately come to mind. So, yes, there has to be a royal there. But there are rather a lot of royals, so the specific royal is the one who is most interested in tennis.

Lovely report but does the LTA know that the David Lloyd clubs are reducing their tennis courts even though it is hard to book one. Since I joined the Finchley club one indoor court is now a children's food area, another indoor court is now badminton courts and now two outdoor courts are becoming a spa and sunbathing area. They no longer describe the club as a tennis club but a health club. There are so few places to play indoor tennis through the winter or bad weather and it is becoming less and less.

We all know Tennis is a expensive Sport being a bit realistic with public that amount money parents put in the sport as most people can't afford taking kids all over the world to compete. Of course Emma's parents helped her; she is only 18 and because she was their minor child, her parents were responsible for taking care of all of her material needs as well as teaching her moral values that would serve her well in the future and would determine her character. That is the roles that parents serve. That is being human. Of course her parents supported her when they discovered her passion and talent for tennis. Supporting your minor child is also part of a parent's role. She is not obligated to share her private life with the public. I was just ecstatic to see a young British woman win the US Open. Can't we just be happy for her achievement and proud of her. It hasn't been a month since her win. Do you have to start trying to tear hear down so soon? Let her enjoy her win.
