Pete breaks down tonight’s pitching matchup between Yu Darvish and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and what this means for the country of Japan. It’s setting up for what should be two epic Game 5s in Los Angeles and Cleveland, where Tarik Skubal will take the ball for the Tigers.
The guys also breakdown the Manny Machado-Freddie Freeman play that saw him leave the baseline to obstruct Freddie’s throw. We also give Manny and Freddie props for how they play the game day in and day out, setting the tone for their clubhouses.

Royals barely tried to steal. I was baffled at Witt not attempting one the past 2 games. You have to do something to manufacture runs and get in the pitchers head. That's what the 14/15 teams did. Hate to say the team didn't really feel like they had "it" this year. That said, going from 106 losses to this is insane. I can't complain. Next year is the year. Yeah when that ball comes in from a submarine pitcher, that gets in your head. I played through high school and I had that fear of being hit in the face far too often lol. Wish they had those face guards back then.

I wholly agree, especially with this team, you gotta manufacture runs. That said, Bobby was thrown out about 1/3rd of the time when attempting to steal this year. I firmly believe, especially because he is young, he was in his head for the whole ALDS. He likely didn’t believe in himself to not get picked off. Hell, he even had a stretch during the regular season, where he just stopped trying to steal bases, probably because of a lack of belief in himself. I’m not too worried about him on the base path. I firmly believe that base stealing efficiency will be a primary goal for him this off season/Spring training. Every single announcer seems to claim that he’s the fastest man in baseball right now, so here’s to hoping that his stolen base numbers only get greater and greater.

I felt like the Royals lineups were wrong. Renfroe and DeJong should've had some at bats because they have power and we clearly needed more offense.

Yankees shouldn’t scare anyone. Only outscored the Royals 14-12. Detroit/Cleveland shouldn’t have much of a problem with them.

The fact that the Yankees played average ball and still beat the Royals should scare any team. Judge had a horrible series and in game 4 he seems to have got his timing back. If Soto, Judge and Wells click, it'll be a nightmare for opposing pitchers.

They won on the back of over 30 walks. They we tried to let the Yankees blow us out and they won't get such gifts against either the guardians or Tigers. The Yankees aren't world beaters, they're just patient and play fundamentally sound baseball
