Why I WILL Enjoy "Stellar Blade" - (Not A Review)

I'm so sad I don't have a PS5, but if this game comes to Steam, I am SO ready for it-!!

RoyalSkies have you tried Bayonetta? i thought somewhere Bayonetta would have been mentioned somewhere, The first Bayonetta game is on Steam but 2 and 3 are on the Switch being under Nintendo umbrella they is a 100% chance they arent coming to Steam or anywhere else

While I'm not sure if the show really is that qualified as Sci-Fi with only some Sci-Fi elements, I'd say it's the "Gungnir Girls"( just a collective term I'm using for them since the three use a "Gear" based on the spear Gungnir) from "Senki Zesshou Symphogear". But I also really like "Klan Klein" from Macross Frontier. It is really funny how she was one of the very few characters, that was playable in the PSP games as herself. Given, that some of the shows you like have some overlap with the Mecha-Musume genre( which overlaps with the mecha genre as well), like Sky Girls, you may like the show Symphogear as well, which is a "Magical-Girl" and Kamen-Rider/Power Rangers( which itself is loosely based on Super Sentai) adjacent anime with heavy emphasis on the Mecha-Musume genre. Just like with Macross this show is also Idol-Adjacent. One of the Characters was voiced by one of the two Singers of "Two-Mix", who sang the Songs for Gundam Wing.( She is also the japanese voice actress of Conan Edogawa from "Case Closed"/"Detective Conan" - and is apparently the Ex-Wife of Gosho Aoyama) An other anime I can recommend is "Cross Ange", which is more of a "Macross meets Gundam Seed and Code Geass". It even had a PSVita game. By the way, the person who designed the characters and exo-skelettons of "Sky Girls" is also involved with some more recent shows and game franchises like "Busou Shinki", "Kantai Collection" and "Girls und Panzer". He was also one of the Designers involved in the "Gundam Build Fighters" anime and may have been involved with "Strike Witches" as well, given how similar the Character design is, to both Kantai Collection and Girls und Panzer.

I've been waiting for stellar blade since 2019. The CEO of shiftup is the man behind the design of project eve, Hyung tae kim, hes been doing the "tight wear", "unique proportions" style since the early 2000's. He also designed blade and soul which is my favourite mmo and easily beats all mmorpgs in terms of combat system. When i saw Project Eve. It looked to me like another "Blade and Soul" style game in terms of design and combat system, except for the obvious fact that its an offline story game. I was not surprised to see its become that big of a success. All SHIFTUP games were successful, and it took awhile to gather the money to keep working on Stellar Blade. I look forward to seeing MORE awesome non mobile games from them.

Another fact most ppl don't know: many of the OG blade and soul devs left NCsoft and took refuge in SHIFTUP, which is probably why Stellar blade ended up being so good. They gambled abit but here we are, they succeeded.

I don't know why but Korean always bring something to the gaming circle as a refreshment. Looking back at Ragnarok Online released. Back then online games were more of lobby-based and only a few cRPG like runescapes were open world. Ragnarok Online brought the idea of having online community into the game while providing the background stories and lores to allowed players to immersed in the game. Then Black Desert Online brought immense changes into MMORPG landscape. Games like WoW and FFXIV were simply obsoleted though they're still somehow a big hit. Maybe BDO was too competitive in nature + P2W which made it worse. But overall BDO made MMORPG into the new era. When the gaming circle is in chaos by the oppression from US organizations and the predatory monetization models, Stellar Blade come in rescue to wake people up. It's funny because US and JP are always keeping up with their ideals and CN only trying to fit in because their industry still new. Others are rather small compared to these countries, so their identities are hard to describe. I mean like Thailand, people are either part of outsource agencies or trying to cut into indie scene without much budget. The large companies are still not big enough to compare with other countries and their games are not on the mainstream. Well there were some famous games made by Thai people like Project Nimbus and Kingdoms Reborn, but they're not as famous as similar games like Armored core and Tropico. Oh right "Home Sweet Home" was quite famous due to Thai specialty in horror genre.
