And for those eager to jump in with the phrase , 'the statue was found the south of Spain therefore it is Punic. Let address this issue. According the Greek classical sources the Iberians are indigenous to the area; it is why we call Spain and Portugal as being the whole of Iberian peninsula. And yes the Carthaginians established trading posts. But the Greeks built colonies there as well as they also did in Southern coast of France. Neither makes France or Spain Punic or Greek

I wasn't familiar with this ancient statue, so I'm very intrigued. Excellent job on the "recreation". First thing I thought was that the side "buns", they weren't "princess Lea" buns lol. But they look to be technological. Another thing I noticed was the statue appears to be looking down, which isn't shown in the recreation. The "looking down" likely has something to do with the reason and the purpose of the statue. Good work!

Good morning. I am a spanish historian. La dama de Elche is a funerary iberian statue from the Iberian people ( turdetanos, edetanos...) Who lived mainly in the mediterranean part of Spain before the arrival of the Romans. They are our ancestors. It has nothing to do with Atlantis or Punic invaders. By the way... It was discovered by a farmer Who was working in his plot. Spanish history is one of the most complicated histories in Europe, believe me.

Your recreation of the Lady's face is stunning too!
