I think a vintage soap collection would be super fun. Like soap smells from the 80s and 90s as well as designs you would have seen back then and the imbeds could be like the little flower or heart bathroom soaps you saw in someones peach colored bathroom next to the wicker basket of potpourri with a mauve ribbon. You could design one to look like a vintage hand towel with the ribbon embroidery on it or the flower patterned strip of fabric on one end. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Or with teal, pink, and hot purple! Also, my mom's bath room is still a pale pink; with a pink, blue , and green wall paper border; gold hardware; almond colored fixtures; an almond Formica counter top; and the little wicker basket of pink, white, and peach colored shell shaped soaps (that no one was allowed to use). It was painted in the Spring of '89.

Not a creator - but I understand where you’re coming from! I am a teaching assistant on a therapeutic farm at a school for children who don’t thrive in traditional school settings. I get to work with so many animals, from sheep and llamas to horses and owls and snakes. It’s a dream, but it’s so unique it doesn’t sound real! At all...I order from MORIVERSOAP and her packing is so good I take a picture every time. Makes me feel appreciated as a long time customer. Also, katie customer service is NOT the best. She said if you have any questions go to instagram, they've ignored all my messages and I feel like they're legit questions. Another occasion, I had asked them to combine 2 orders so I dont have to pay for 2 shippings and I asked BEFORE I ordered, Caroline said yeah, so I was thrilled as heck. But they didn't honor it and I had to reach out to them and for them to say "they don't usually do this" made me feel guilty and like it was my fault, after I got the ok from them. ALSO her soaps had little to NO scent. Like they're not using the full recommended percentage of FO now. I use moriversoap and her soap makes the entire bathroom smell so good she also GIVES free samples. I love this soap and your videos and ESPECIALLY your chat at the end of the video. Fun fact--you are SO RIGHT that as a community we collectively and constantly raise the bar for each other and ourselves--it's backed by science! It's called the Zone of Proximal Development. Basically, the ZPD a psychological theory that we learn faster when we are working around/among peers at a similar skill level than we do when we are by ourselves. The warm and fuzzy sense of comminuty among soapers like you is definitely what has given me the courage to start my soap business. Thank you so much for everything you do to further our community and craft!

I work as a paramedic and have been struggling with infertility for way too many years. A few years ago my mental health fell apart. I was watching your videos because they are just so soothing and positive and it was a way to shut my brain off for a little while. My husband suggested I try making soap as a creative outlet. I wasn't sure about it and honestly, when you're as far into that hole as I was, it's hard even getting out of bed in the morning. He went online to a local soap making store, bought all of the supplies (he's been with me watching many of these videos lol) and had it shipped to the house. When I still wasn't sure, he put on a long sleeve shirt and some gloves and insisted on helping me to get over my own fears of failure. I really did marry an amazing man. About once a month, when I need a break from the world, I make up a soap idea and go create it. I do sell the occasional bars if they turn out nice, but mostly they are just for us. Thanks for the inspiration and for the knowledge I needed to make a step towards my own mental health.

Anyone who is wanting to start making soap for a business or even asks how to make soap, I allow them to come over individually (I do not like crowds and don’t have patience to do videos 😂🤣) and I will have them take notes while I make one batch then I will have them make a batch using soap calc while I am there to assist but they get to do the “hands on” all by themselves, I’m just there in the event they have a question…moral support…or quick reminder of a safety issue-goggles on, lye to water ONLY, no aluminum😊. Katie, for the Royal Academy, my biggest suggestion, (besides wishing for some tips & tricks to knowing just how MUCH batter to mix up separately for piping, cause I'm sure that's in your kit that you sell)... would be to have 1 video going over fragrance oils... which ones would more than likely work best for starting out, as a new soaper gets a feel for their recipe. Which ones would speed up or slow down trace. Oh my gosh, that would be SUCH a helpful video! Because lets face it, Fragrance Oil, it's the key factor that can determine if the soaping session will be an absolute nightmare, or a disaster! (Besides making sure your lye water is made correctly! ;) LOL! And color morphs. What ALL can cause the morphs?! Vanillin(sp?) isn't the only thing, apparently! (UGS!) Because of you Katie, I started my own soaping business, and this here would have been SO, so, SOOoo wonderful to have watched you go over! And probably saved me a lot of headaches this past year! ;) Thx for all you do Katie! Much love & appreciation for all you do!

I wish the lines were straight, the colours remind me of the binding on old books and it would have been neat to have the soap look like a stack of books 📚 either way love your stuff always!

I absolutely love your spirit! How you see the others soapmakers as allies and not competition is very inspiring! Thank you for your videos! You convinced me to make soap! And it turned out well thanks to you! For the royal creative academy please do a video on how to "test" our soap so we can be sure they are safe and not caustic (pH test). How do you create your own blend of fragrances oils. how to calculate your mold capacity. And finally some troubleshooting, what to do when something goes wrong. Thanks and take care!

Ah! I saw Tea & Novels when I went to your website today and I barely took the time to think "Ooh, I haven't seen Katie make this one; have I missed the video??" before clicking "Add to Cart". For past releases, I've been able to limit myself to a couple of bars of soap, but this month I went a little ham. No regrets. I love your work so much.
