The way I understand it, fragrance oils are chemical compounds that mimic a specific scent. Essential oils are extracts of natural plants.

I’m in the “dump it in and pray for the best” group right now. I’ve been lucky so far. Only bad batch was a sample I was sent that seized immediately. I try to read reviews, and do my best to make the first batch with a fragrance something fairly simple. I’m so excited to see how you test scents!!

I would LOVE to see more behind the scenes stuff like this, as well as things like a tour of your studio AND the new production facilities as you guys are working. I remember watching videos and seeing racks of 5 lb molds, and now you're doing big slabs in multiples. It would be really interesting to learn about how you've scaled up over time, how you did that, how many people you have working in the different capacities, etc. For those of us who are starting small that kind of thing in invaluable.

As someone who has never made soap, nor am I crafty in any way, shape, or form, I must say your instructional videos have been THE BEST to watch. All your videos are pure pleasure, but the instruction ones go above & beyond. Your knowledge base and your enthusiasm for teaching is really enrapturing and it really does make me want to start making soap.
