The words are so contemporary they could have been from last week, "I'll take you home, Gimme your phone!" But it was 95 years ago! Amazing! 😊 Great video!!!

@@roybo1930 Yes, especially 1930 when you could drive your own new Cadillac with a 16 cylinder engine! When the stunning art deco top of the Chrysler Building was put up, when overhead you could see the huge Los Angeles Zeppelin cross the horizon with its promise of the future Airship cruise industry, electric radios in every home, silent movie screens now talking as if by magic across America, on and on! 😊

Thankyou for posting this exceptional 1929 talkie hit! Love it! That color pic of Jean Harlow is a wow!. She was a real Miss Wonderful in 1929, already doing bit parts in Laurel and Hardy silents like "Liberty" and "Double Whoopee." Here's a story you havent heard before. Stanley was afraid of falling while up on those high rise girders in "Liberty". Roach reassured him that the plywood floor they fashioned a floor below would catch him safely. Oliver said look Stanley, I will jump down on it to prove how safe it is! He jumped and crashed right through it and fell to the ground! 😮 Great pics!

@@OLD_SOUL1900 You're welcome old soul. I am a big Harlow fan. Your comment inspired me. That story was told by Hal Roach himself.

Thank You! WOW! What a fascinating story! That would have been swell on film, that is if he was not hurt!

I guess the bottom line is, Laurel and Hardy were both scared to death while filming those dangerous girder scenes with a crab in their pants! Lol
