I spotted a NEW Ozark Trail Ridge at Walmart today, SMALL frame size! It had a Microshift Acolyte derailleur WITH CLUTCH, and a Microshift Advent shifter (a slightly odd combination).

After you guys made the original video I picked up a m/l RHT and rode it stock for a bit. It wasn't a bad bike on greens and some light blues. Definitely a solid starter bike. Before I sold it, I stole the shifter, derailleur, seat and wheels to upgrade my Ozark Trail Ridge. I put the stock parts from the ridge on the RHT, even the L-Twoo 1x drive train felt good on this bike. The guy who bought it absolutely loved it.

I was able to get this bike for $200 shipped. So far, ditched the 2x for a 1x, upgraded the pedals, stem, and installed lock on grips and QR seat clamp. Ditched the skinny tires for beefier meats. The biggest upgrade was the Manitou Markhor air fork. Completely transformed the bike. Get lots of compliments and the color is just money. Can't wait to see what you do with it!

I'd get rid of the 2x and find a higher range rear cluster with the same amount of gears so you can still use the derailleur and shifter

11 to 46 tooth cassette fits right on without a derailer extension and you can bolt on a regular one by sprocket on the front. It’s a 104 Bolt Circle.

I like the purple bling upgrades on the e-bike but couldn't see enough of it with the Royce Union interuption;) You got a steal price. Nice bike for $250 but at the $360 it is now I'd start looking at a Ridge or Axum.

If you can find a axum under 350 get it! I paid 500. But I ended up building a Nukeproof 275 so I really don't ride my Axum. It's a shame because it's basically brand new with a Eagle GX cranks. You should be able to get a Axum cheap since the newer edition just released.

Those types of smelling salts are common in weight lifting groups when trying to get amped up for a big lift.

If you remove the front derailleur and the bigger chainring, your bike ratio should be perfect ( 28x42 ) teeth.

Air Fork, 1X, and more capable tires, along with pedals and a quick release for the seat, should make the bike much more capable while still budget.

I went to see if I could order it and all sizes were unavailable. I contacted Royce and they responded that it was discontinued 🫤. They suggested Amazon, which unfortunately, they want $600 for this bike. Kinda disappointed. I’m looking for a good budget bike for starting out.

It's crazy that you're doing a video on Royce Union RHT. I just had a client bring his back to me. He bought it in the fall and I assembled it for him just to make sure everything was greased and everything. The rear rotor was hanging on by one bolt. It almost sheared. The other five bolts had vibrated themselves loose. I don't think they applied thread locker in the right place on the bolts and they vibrated loose.

252$ for a bike that has an xt derailleur with slx shifters and hydraulic brakes? I think that's a kicker deal and a good base for upgrades. There's no way I could get a similarily speced bike for this money where I live.
