I dedicate this video to the singer Florent Pagny. For those who don't know him, Florent Pagny is a French singer from the 80s/90s who was diagnosed with lung cancer some months ago. His name is probably not known beyond France (for the anecdote, he's the love of youth of Vanessa Paradis, long before Johnny Depp, he also wrote many songs for her), but here, everyone knows him and he rocked the childhood of many people, including mine.
He was my mother's favorite singer, he still is in a way, and she introduced me to his songs when I was a child by listening to his old CDs. I too fell in love with this song, "Ça Fait Des Nuits", it was the first song by him that conquered my heart as a little girl, to the delight of my mother. Over the years, this song has become "our song", to my mother and me, the one we sing all the time together as soon as we hear it. And when I became an adult, I myself became a fan of Florent Pagny.I felt like starting this edit with this song when I found out about his cancer. He's a man with an incredible story, a man who fought to get what he has today, and for whom I have a lot of admiration, and that's not much, but I hope to give him some strength and support with this little video and try to do some honor to his art.
