Please help me: I have a high end PC with 5900X CPU and 3080TI but I can't play Persona 5 at 60fps. When I enable the patch, all 3D graphics go berserk. About 50% of the graphics become all black. Help me. Game runs perfect at 30fps.

Hell yeah! Growing up this was one of my first games I had on the PS3 and I remember it fondly. It's so fascinating seeing it run at 4K60. Can't wait to try this myself!

When I played apocalypse I hated the graphics - I took washed out and resolution was crap 😅 but it was so much fun, especially playing 4 people split screen with friends !! 😍

It reminds me of Final Fantasy XII or Radiata Stories when people first emulated them and found that the games were shockingly good looking once the incredibly low hard specs of the PS2 were no longer holding them back.

Really nice! This game is beautiful on 1440p. Just hope the 60FPS patch or the Variable FPS patch are eventually fixed. For the most of us I think, neither the slowdown or the camera shake that come with the patches are worth it... Playing the game on 30FPS is still the way to go

Do not follow the entire wiki page for this one! It made mine stutter and have sub 10 FPS drops even at just 1080P WITH FSR on! (11th gen 8 core 16 thread locked @4.6ghz, no throttling, RTX 3070 ti). Instead: - I have left anti aliasing ON - I have upscaled to 4K (300%) with FSR on - I have ticked read colour and write colour buffers (necessary to look correct) - I did set res threshold to 256x256 since I am upscaling That's it I didn't do any of the other changes Now I am at a rock solid 60 but I don't like the drawbacks with water so have gone back to 30 FPS At 1440P with no FSR whatsoever I am at rock solid 60 or 30. With 4K I only tried it with FSR and again performance was rock solid. I don't know which wiki entry breaks the performance to such a degree but I am guessing it's x float accuracy or block size

Ok, update, I did do the wake up delay fix also and that hasn't affected performance, so the culprit was indeed x float or spu block size. It was causing my GPU usage to be 98%+ hence the issues. Even at 1080P as said with FSR on, I was dropping to single digit FPS. What I have just settled on: FSR disabled 200% upscale for 1440P All the wiki fixes except x float and block size GPU usage is ~25% max, mostly around 20 percent CPU usage 25% Purring like a kitten

I've been learning more and more throughout my life how complicated of a system the PS3 really is, so the fact that you not only managed to make a PS3 emulator that runs games but also worked THIS well is honestly the biggest achievement most devs couldn't accomplish. You've appeared to be a bit silent for almost 2 years, but I want you to know it shouldn't matter at all to anyone how long this project needs to keep going to be optimized, I only hope that the whole team is living well and everything's alright. I have massive respect for all of you for helping preservation stay alive for years to come, so never hesitate to take breaks if you need to. I wish you all the best, sincerely!

Hi RPCS3, i'm really happy to see this emulator is still in development, long may it continue, it's really appreciated! Regarding the AVX-512 instruction set. It's a good seeing it used to increase performance, but seeing so few CPU's have it incorporated (basically only a handful) is there a chance you can use something like the Nvidia CUDA cores in the same way? Or using the CUDA cores in another way?

Don't think it's really viable 1. compute shaders will have much more latency than running directly on CPU 2. cpu clocks are much higher than gpu clocks 3. The emulator does not need 1000s of those operations to be done at once

If you use an unofficial patch to set the framerate to 60 then a bug happens where small vehicles lose speed in game when going through water.

@@williampatrone2582 Kusay is correct, you lose more speed when driving through water at 60fps with the patch than you would normally at 30. Bigger vehicles aren't affected as much by water so they are fine. Most tracks you can just drive around the water, and it only really slows you down through deep water so its fine if you go along the shallow parts. Not a huge problem, but it is there. Over 120fps its like hitting a brick wall, I don't really recommend going over 60 for tracks with water.

Is it normal to still have slowdown at the beginning of some races? Particularly Kanaloa Bay. Takes about 15 seconds to actually achieve 60 fps. Running 3080ti and 5800x

I have a 5900X and 6800XT and on Beach Comber I am getting 35FPS on start of the race. Any suggestions on getting the 60FPS? I have tried changing resolution to 1440p, and Anisotropic to 2x, but neither made a real difference. The "External RSX (PS3)" says it is running at 93%, but the other Internal values are around 5 to 10% EDIT: I deselected the 60FPS patch and everything runs beautifully now.

Looks like nitro boost causes the screen to vibrate at 30Hz, makes it kinda weird at 60 fps. Iom conflicted about whether to just play it at 30 fps or 60 fps.
