I remember getting a 10 kill-killstreak in less than 30 seconds at the beginning of the game on Highrise because almost all of the entire enemy team went to the section near the billboard all huddled up together in a neat line 😂 It felt like that machine gun scene on saving private ryan

@boomerang342126 I found the AA-12 to be quite a good secondary for the RPD - moving from firing positions leaves you vulnerable at close range, and the AA-12 got me a few kills while on the move. The AA-12 doesn't really need stopping power though, so I'd suggest a secondary that benefits more from it - the machine pistols would be a good choice, or perhaps even the SPAS-12.

I used the RPD with extended mags, claymore, stun, perks were One Man Army (bascally 3 second reloads) Stopping Power, and Sit rep. Streaks were Predator, harrier, pavelow

***** not really. It decreases the number of pellets needed to kill by one. So for the Masterkey (which fires fewer pellets), it's ok (although still inconsistent). For the ranger (which fires more than average) it's near useless.

Did the same thing. 3 classes all RPD with on man army. Was easiest way to set up 2 claymore defense then find cover taking out a high traffic area. Was only reason my K/D was so high.

@khisanth01 Out of the weapons I've covered so far, my favourite is probably the RPD or the FAMAS. Overall, it's probably the AUG + FMJ or the TAR-21 + Silencer.

@Staytrve Personally I'm a fan of FMJ, but I like to play aggressively and get close. If long range engagements are more your style, the grip might be the better choice.

on console yes....on pc no. use fmj and u can shoot through most of the map and get like 3hit kills through half of terminal or skidrow. also makes it real fun because everyone calls you a hacker

+fickle sticks it's unplayable. Nearly every lobby is hacked with colored text and map changes at very random times. About 4 out of 10 games there will be one player who uses aimbot and goes 57-0 which isn't fun to be on or even against that person's team

this gun is over powered(at least in PC): 1. It has near zero recoil when burst fired with grip 2. 2 shot kill at any range with stopping power 3. huge mag filled with rounds that will kill you with 2 shots at any range (not to mention good iron sights) 4. with SoH, reloads and ADS is not a problem 5. good penetration

the RPD is easily the best LMG in terms of taking out groups of enemies. The MG4 and the M240 lack damage, the L86 lacks controllability, and the AUG lacks the magazine. The perfect LMG, perhaps the best gun in the game.

As I'm going around the weapon categories, eventually I'll run out of weapons to cover in certain categories before others (I'll have finished the sniper rifles long before I've covered all the assault rifles, for instance.) I might fill some of the gaps with the riot shield, and perhaps cover some of the equipment - maybe even killstreaks.

@anteracmacash It's not so easy to use a mouse and keyboard when you're on the sofa! Consoles are cheaper - and I'd argue it's much easier to get started than on a PC. The social features (such as parties, friend lists, chat etc) are built in out of the box - so you know you'll be able to interact with anyone else on Xbox Live / PSN without having to install anything. I'm not speaking ill of PC gaming here - I play my fair share of PC games! But the Xbox and PS3 streamline the social aspect.

@anteracmacash I play on xbox, and my channel reflects that - but I'm no console fanboy. I fully respect the PS3 and PC platforms, and in my opinion they are very similar as far as MW2 is concerned. The PC does have some key advantages, such as mouse+keyboard control, and the ability to play at a higher resolution - but I feel you're overlooking the key benefits of playing on a console - that being that I can play in a more comfortable environment, and the majority of my friends being on xbox.

This weapon proved me many times to be extremely reliable for a long time at any range. Especially when you spray at close/mid range, and single shots for long range. A serious must for objective gameplay, and perfect for groups of enemys.

The RPD is probably my favourite weapon in the game. I couple FMJ and grip and put on Stopping Power, you can tear anything to pieces no matter if they are a campy sniper in a building or even a Harrier.

PS3 has more hackers, as far as I noticed, but on xbox I used to get invited to these "infection" lobbies every few games. This game is pretty much dead, there really is no reason to play it anymore because the fucking hackers ruined the game for us all with their amazing copy&pasting skills.

It was CTF on Scrapyard and I wanted to get my first nuke. I got the chopper gunner and 2 more kills as well. I remember I had switched through about 4 weapons picked off the ground. Anyway, I open up the chopper excited only to discover with a shock that most of the guys had cold blooded so I ended up killing only 3 or 4. I thought that hope was lost for my nuke but then I picked up an RPD and miraculously it got me the remainder of kills. I'm never going to forget RPD for that.

Imagine how awesome it would be if you could use the bipod like in the Red Orchestra games! 0:52 Technically not a magazine. It's belt-fed and the belt is contained in a belt box. Since it's round, you could also call it a "belt canister." 1:21 "Belt canister." Also, if it can burn through 100 rounds in less than 10 seconds, that means its cyclic rate is faster than an AK's (which is 600 rpm or 10 rounds per second). 1:29 Textbook belt-fed. That's one reason why machine gunners typically operate in teams of two - one gunner and one loader. A trained machine gunner could probably load a belt-fed machine gun (solo) in less than 10 seconds. 2:13 As per typical, the iron sights don't line up right. You're supposed to aim THROUGH the rear sight notch, not OVER it. 2:46 THAT's the reason for reduced damage? Not because sound suppressors reduce the velocity of the bullets? 4:18 "Extended belt."

@Kietik If you're level 45+ and don't use your secondary much, I'd suggest that you give One Man Army a try, as it's faster to swap to the same class (5 sec, 3 with Pro) than the reload (9.7 sec). Also, you replenish your equipment and ammo all over again, and you're able to switch to other classes without needing to respawn. Hope that helps.

ONE TIP FOR PEOPLE NEW TO LMGS IN THIS GAME! Use OMA, it's a 6/3 second reload, with the effects of scavenger. You do NOT need a secondary, so this is a beautiful fit. =)

Sleight of Hand is awesome for it since it cuts reloading in half for any weapon, so it goes from a colossal 10 sec reload to a big but manageable 5 sec reload. Also, lightweight like you said since LMGs give you the 2nd slowest movement speed after a riot shield...despite RPDs being made of wood and thick metal whilst a riot shield is made of thin reinforced plastic. XD

@XboxAhoy Xbox Ahoy, just wanted to point out that a silenced RPD with stopping power kills in the same amount of bullets as an unsilenced RPD without stopping power. RPD as a silenced LMG is a very viable opton, 3 hit kills at any range with low recoil and a huge ammo capacity's pretty damn good.
