RPG Maker XP - A Blast from the Past!

I still remember when i first got into RPG Maker, it was still in the good ol days of 2k3. It's a real pity that they moved towards javascript instead of something more robust and performant.

why people said the XP version is the worst? it seems strange they give for free that version and not the 2k3 or another popular version

This was my introduction to RPG Maker, so it will always hold a place in my heart, I think it's awesome but that might be the nostalgia.😅

XP has some very popular Pokemon fan game tools. It is also one of the main versions for early RPG Maker Horror games. Finally XP has built in RGSS scripting. I am not saying XP is better than 2K3, they are both fine. XP does arguably have more famous and beginner friendly use cases. Also built in scripting is a definite plus.

@AutMouseLabs I think I might try a few games made in RPG Maker. It's something I don't think I've done much of in the past.
