This dungeon, set in the current incarnation of salt marsh, has proven to be a fantastic launching point for my nephews first d&d experience and ongoing campaign. I've stuck as closely to the original content as possible but made a few tweaks here and there. I should say that I based it primarily off of the Zack Howard work and the original And took advantage of the supplemental content for this module created by Clovis Kell. Given the state of things, we are playing on a virtual table top over zoom. I recreated the entire original dungeon along with the supplemental content in Dynamic Dungeons which has been a blast.

I love these vids. And I'm glad the old guard and new guard of D&D are getting along better than in the past. Makes me very content to know that people realized that our differences in what we don't like about the hobby are miniscule compared to what we do like about the hobby.

Hmmm perhaps someone will do the same for Dragon Magazine Module #63 Chagmat or Dragon Magazine #57 Wandering Trees. There is the Excellent White Dwarf #9 The Lichway. The Dragon Magazine Module - Can Seaport Be Saved from Issue #73 would be a great addition to the Ruined Tower of Zenopus.

How hard would it be to upscale it to an 8th level party (or just a higher level party in general). There was a section that talked about the interaction between different factions in the dungeon. Would that be hard to change to more dangerous monsters?

The free 5e basic rules are really reminiscent of BECMI. Basic classes, Basic Races, Basic Monsters and magic items. I think it's a great idea to convert these classic adventures.

I'm not a hater - I'm a curmudgeon. I tried 5e and determined that I dislike it and especially what WotC are doing to the game. If people wanna play it that's their business. I opt out and will stick with the classic D&D. But this channel says it's an OSR channel. So that's why I mention my disappointment in seeing 5e content here. I think my criticism is entirely appropriate. Of course it's not my channel and the owner can do as he wishes but respectful feedback is a real thing for civilized people. Of course WotC is not after that kind of person given their "woke" nature these days so perhaps some of you don't understand that reasonable people can disagree without being evil.

Zach is a "Holmes Scholar" and did a really good job on this, 5E stats or not. You are doing yourself a disservice with your ignorance. The material is very useful for any edition of the game (I don't play 5E)
