Best Guardian Spirits - NIOH 2

They really need to buff the other guardian spirits because Tengen is still the best spirit in every way. Hopefully they allow us to level up each spirit like in Nioh 1 after NG++.

True, I always keep it as the secondary spirit to switch while exploring, then switching back to Nekomata for battles

@Rastafari Bill they kinda nerfed Tengen like a year ago. But if you're still on your first playthrough it still holds up as one of the best spirits to use for its versatility.

Temgen still being awesome is great, used it in Nioh and soon as I unlocked in Nioh 2, it stayed on as my primary.

I don't specifically use water damage, but tea-whale is my favourite because of the 250 hp and the fact that you can easily see him to recover your amrita once you died :D

Thanks for explaining the differences on which spirit you pick in the beginning, couldnt find it anywhere lol. Do you know when you’re able to switch them? like you mentioned later in the game

I just rebuilt my character to have Tengen Spirit Guardian. I like using Magic and having all elemental abilities increase Anima charge is amazing. I use the Spirit Guardian Omnyo magic and from what I’ve seen it Tengen Kujaku causes the most elemental damage of all the spirits which speeds up anima charge that much more

Shin Roku can restore life with strong attack. With hammer and hight posture i think it's realy insane.

there is a best counter that is Feral. Brute will usually trade hits and late game you dont want that ( you really have to press immediately before the attack begins to swing in that form otherwise trade hits ) also Brute form is crap in in Yokai Shift... Phantom form is altogether just situational and hardest to pull off. That leaves Feral which is almost perfect ( late gem you dont want to block or trade hits therfore evasion form is superior to others )
