I always thought that Carbon was better than MW.... the felling of classic B movie plot with F&F aesthetic is just very fun to watch. NFS Heat is actually great spiritual successor for Carbon (with a bit of MW wibe).

Scouts are not underwhelming! They are extremely broken. At the beginning of each race, just deactivate them and they will take off like a rocket. Extremely easy wins esp for speedtraps

Actaully Carbon is now receiving the love it deserved back then. it is receiving over haul mods and other different game enhancing modes. THis treatment is being given to Prostreet and Undercover as well

For me this is my favorite for it's touge (japanese for mountain pass) roads. Im a huge initial d fan and I love racing games with touges especially if they offer some touges with more technical to it. On my channel i made 2 touge battles with eurobeat using different cars and I will be making more!

Carbon was one of my early NFS games, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I played through it 3 times. 2 as a Tuner and 1 as an Exotic. I love the atmosphere and music!

Tbh, i think for defending races you should be able to send one of your crew members to race it with a chance to win or not. And who knows? A leveling up system for them.

I still own the Carbon Collectors Edition CD to this day. It took some cracks to the middle of the disk from that stupid carcass it was in and I don't have a pc with a DVD-rom anymore, but I still have it in my house.

I think every song works very well in any situation be it in Carbon or any other game (I remember ISAD using Carbon Music a lot years ago and damn it worked) Also, just like everyone else said choose a scout turn them off and watch them fly.

I literally just finished the game last night with the Renault Clio no less, mostly because that's what I drive irl, but also because the cornering of that car is kinda of a cheat really. Definitely a great game, a little short but still awesome

Disagree with Neville being a highlight and Blockers being the only useful crew member. The Scouts can be absolute rocketships, and Drafters have the better cars in the game. Nikki, in particular, has the Ford GT when you are still struggling with a Tier 2 car in the early Tier 3 races. It helps. Otherwise, nice to see my favourite game getting some love. Often overshadowed by its older brother.

When I played it back in the day, after 40 minutes I deleted it. Nowadays I decided to give it a shot again, thinking I might have been unfair to this one. No. I was not. While it combines nice things, it also got some shitty mechanics and style. Now I hate it in much more competent way.

To be honest, there's plenty of things that made me not like Carbon. The Career is shorter, yes, but making Money after the first Race is incredibly difficult, making you unable to just grind your way for a second car in case you made a bad choice with your first car. It also made Defense Races completely pointless and annoying because there's no financial incentive for it... What they were thinking of making repeat races only worth 500 dollars. Which is made even worse with the fact that unlike MW or Underground where all cars should be Equal in Theory, the Tier and Class system made most cars are artificially different and not car-specific. It made Tier 1 and Tier 2 too slow. Tuners is uselessly slow on Straight, Muscles slides everywhere, and Exotics can't turn. The fact that Carbon had a lot more slow turns and Darius being so hard made the problem even worse (you can't just use any car, you had to use among the best in the game). The game needs their cars to be more agile, since now i get why they need to make the cars slower compared to MW since the map is more technical, but it was a murder when they nerfed the handling on all non-Tuners too.

Yeah the game is a slop . Like honestly for me the reason why I turned down was the fact how shit the handling is in comparison to mw 05. Pared with the fact that the tuning sliders are broken meaning that for e.g oversteer is understeer basically opposite direction wich makes no sense. On the other hand the story wise it's aght at least Darius was cool but overall ass. I mean we had canyon races way back in NFS U2 (Jackson height) and the games handling was better albeit progression is slower because you have to drive to the race events but overall better .
