Good Video. Most of the time my bikes moving its about 60% to 80% of the way to the redline. Its at 78,000 miles. I sold my last bike at 93,000 miles (A VFR btw) still running sweet. Ride at peak torque in the rev range for best fuel economy, or if you dont care about that just ride at whatever revs make you smile most. Regular oil and filter changes have a much greater affect on engine heath than what revs it lives at.

Good video! Interesting, nice explaination, good editing. BUT you need to work on the recording quality of your voice. Everything else is already on a very good level, but the the voice is sub par and yt audience is VERY unforgiving in this area. :)

My SV has 80k miles. Just rode it continuously from Texas to California with no real rest. Still bangin' along fine. I don't sit at redline but did get back in 18 hours. Sat around 6500k rpms most of the time.

From my experience, once valvetrain and tune are set up correctly, the vulnerable part is the conrod big end bearing (roller types at least). In my youth i shredded half a dozen Puch moped lower ends because...they didn´t stop revvvvvvvvvving. Today I have to rebuild a wrecked crankshaft of a 1981 Honda CB 125 Twin, which can go 14k downhill but can not sustain that, even though it is a revvy thing at 11,5k on peak output.
