Hey mate! "It took the rest of the world a little while to catch up"? BMW launched their compact series back in 1994. The A3 was launched in 1996. When the 1-series came out, it had followed already the E36/5 compact AND the E46 Compact. Audi just took a legendary Golf, stuffed it up a bit and came up with the A3. Nothing wrong with that, but they didn't "invent" anything. I suggest you check your sources. Thanks for the video.
