On November 3rd 1978 in Dominica, the Union Jack
was lowered marking the end of 195 years of British
Colonial rule. The island is now one of the smallest
nations in the world. It is also extremely poor with
bananas providing the chief source of income. Over
recent years Dominica has suffered lawlessness and
violence, largely due to the high rate of unemployment,
especially among the young.

I was there during the interim rule by Oliver Serahin. Patrick John had been thrown in jail for some sort of nefarious business with South Africa as I remember. I was there the better part of a decade and miss Dominica. But not the hurricanes?!

The then Dominican Defense Force looked great. I believe that Dominica hasn't reestablished a Defense Force since that coup. The Police has taken the responsibility of national defense. That's good 👍🏽

What do you consider to be rich money, big buildings nice roads? Dominica is a rich island with clean water fertile soil and good people. Can u get that in your country without purchasing it.
