Would love to see a video of all of your pre-planning for a build, how you figure your materials, from lumber to fasteners to connectors and how far out you like to have all of your materials so that you have everything once you're ready to start the build. Like how you figure out what your lead time is on everything so that you have it. I'm really curious as to how you figure out exactly what nails and screws you're going to need and quantity. That would be interesting and helpful.

One thing I have never liked about pole buildings has been exposed truss tails. I was so glad to see your solution that fixes this. I'm currently getting everything together to extend my shop to make a covered parking space for my RV, and I will definitely use your design on the eaves. Thanks again for sharing your expertise and experience.

It's ridiculous how well Kyle can hammer a nail in with either hand and in a dozen different ways... under, over, to the side, to the other side... i'm not jealous, because i've never known it was possible -- haha, love the videos this is my favourite part the framing just before it gets all covered. Awesome.

1:45 When you tighten down the chuck on your bit, twist the chuck just a bit backwards (like you would do to take the bit out) and you’ll feel it click. It stops the chuck from backing off and the drill bit coming out like that. Not all drills do it but a lot do. Neat little trick I found on KZbin a while back. No idea why it’s not well known.

I love this build Kyle. It looks awesome. I was watching another channel (kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3SmqmB-p7xkibM) the builder puts his posts right into the ground and the concrete guy has no choice but to pour the floor against the wood posts. I would think the bottom of the post will rot under these conditions. Thoughts ?

Greg should really watch leaning in behind you when you're swinging your hammer in that opening at the end! About the first time the claw of your hammer connects to the top of his head, he may never be the same after that, Kyle! Go back and watch the last few minutes of the video, right before you raised the lift when you were both in the opening for that door up above! Your hammer claw was within inches of the top of his head! You really shouldn't get too lax when working around one another! That would really be a bad deal!
