It has become a custom in India that whenever there's an animal in the movie they show the disclaimer "No animals were hurt during the making of this film." I don't think it's required by the government... filmmakers are doing it at their own will.

I think that disclaimer is necessary or else after the release of the movie they might have to face some legal problems. So it’s a precaution taken by film federation.

Very rural yes, but i think if u put it in a percentage that would be 5 percent or to the extent 10 percent, people might not know that it is a CGI, but most of them, irrespective of the education every one of us know CGI is, India especially southern part are hardcore movie lovers, so we know what CGI standards can India pull off, so we ignore and if the director has conviction with the scene, we probably proceed with that. I hope next SSR film we can expect that he will upscale the CGI aspect in the film.

The disclaimer that the animals are CGI isn't the director's choice. It's actually a mandatory thing to have that disclaimer at the beginning of the film, which is a rule put by the censor board of India. So, you can't really complain.

Honestly Jaby and Achara's review of the movie was deeper and more engaging than what they are reviewing right now.Most western reviews(barring 3-4) almost always use the same words bromance,over the top ridiculous action,being surprised by that disclaimer about animals ( guys it's a different country with its own rules..it's not because people.might think they are real,its the law).It's like they got a memo of catch phrases and words:)).It never goes deeper than these cliches.The movie is so much more than an action film..Not that they should not be reviewing the movie, it's just that all of them are so 'literal' and sound the same.

7:00 It wasn't a musical take it's a reference to a story from Ramayan like Greatest thing about RRR movie is it's symbolism, SS Rajamouli being a thousand IQ Genius which he is RRR film connected with everyone because it's Ramayan wrapped under a modern cinema. song was a reference to a small story under Ramayan which most of the people have forgotten about, once Naradmuni was thinking whether Ram is bigger or his name, so he told Hanuman to greet everyone but Vishawamitra, and Hanuman did so accordingly. Vishawamitra after seeing this was furious and ordered Rama his disciple to punish Hanuman, Then Rama went and started to shower Hanuman with arrows but Hanuman was saying Ramas name and chanting his names mantra so Hanuman was inaffective with every single arrow that was shot at him, Rama even used Bramhaastra against Hanuman but it didn't work and thus the Rama's name was bigger, in this scene pavanputra as in son of the wind is carassed by wind and leaf like it's child which is also a reference to the hindu mythology. (Since Bheem by name is a character from Mahabharat epic but Bheem in this movie is Hanuman, because both are Vayuputra or Pawanputra in Hindu mythology and Hanuman even helped Bheem in Bheems story) Ram beats bheem under Scott's order which is reference to Vishwamitra ordering Shree Ram. - And even when Shree Ram didn't want to harm Hanuman/Bheem with whips and Bheem was unaffected by whips because he was singing thus chanting mantra reference in this scene.

An honest opinion. I am from hindi-speaking North India and we grew up watching Bollywood movies. In the last few years, I have been exposed to movies like RRR and it made me realize something, which is that, We were forced to watch utter garbage Bollywood movies for sooo long which starred "second-class actors" like Shahrukh Khan. The acting of these "actors" were low-quality comedy at best. Due to limited accessibility to good movies, we had to torture ourselves with those stupid Bollywood movies. But thanks to internet, we are now able to watch some quality content. And Thanks to this movie for opening our eyes to reality.

Hollywood isn't as much bogged down by agenda as much as a certain very loud subset of Americans are. The mindset which makes them go into a movie with no intention to give it a chance and just hate it for sake of hating it. Which is why most movies can't pull crowds to theaters. Paying full price to see something you know you're not gonna enjoy makes no sense. But trust me, the fresh eyes that watch these flicks a little removed from their release dates and the "politics" of the time will see a lot more good in them than we are willing to credit these movies for.

I agree and disagree with Jaby Koay about the music being out of place while Bheem is getting tortured. I agree with Jaby because I also wanted to feel bad for Bheem for getting brutally punished with a spiked whip. But at the same time, I wouldn't say that the music didn't need to be there. I think it was a good place to put the music. However it did ruin the tension for me because the music just shows he's going to be alright. If I were to make this scene better, I would've had Raju hit Bheem with the Spiked whip a couple of times before jumping into the song!! Idk if Jaby would agree with this.

I have already heard all this from my foreign friends but just for comparison sake,the action sequences are too cheesy?Man,we all say the marvel movies and let's just let it go for the sake of movies we love.Getting to realism,the lion of maharashtra "Chatrapati shivaji Maharaj" and his son "Shambaji Maharaj" who made the mughals pissed in their pants just by having soldiers to 1:17 ratio hunted real indian lions on their own separately with bare hands.There were many great sikh warriors and kings who did it and even played with uncontrolled wild animals and brought them to their knees who are attacking their kingdom's villages by bare hands.

Well I don't know why people liked it outside of India and then I remember it was fun when we watched it over the top action and comdey moments. They don't make sense, but they are enjoyable to see. Bollywood was boring at that time too.

Guys Its not about CG...in indian films no animals should be harmed , even birds...so its mandatory in any film to show in pre title card if they use animal charchters or no...

Jaby I feel the only reason you probably do not relate to song while Bheem is being whipped is because of the lack of what the song exactly means. It’s heavy in terminology and is difficult to understand without cultural context. So many people here in India heard that song on repeat for days because of the way his pain and determination are expressed.

Well, there are many Indian lores, from every time period, including under Mughal, British occupation and some other contexts where the character sings a song while tortured or recites a whole upanishad or similar while undergoing penance as a worship or as repentance. So Bhim singing out loud to incite people around him and to suppress his own sorrow was not much out of place for Indian audience.

In Every movie where some animal is envolved in an action scene , disclaimer is always there as wildlife conservation acts are taken quite seriously here in india. India has one of the most strictest wild life acts and keeping any wild life animal as pet or using them for commercial purpose is banned since 1982
