I own a Reva (2013 model) The Original EV car of India , launch way back in 2002. This car is miracle in Bangalore traffic, 2 adults + 2 kids, Best for parking in market . Even 4 full grown adults can still for short distance of 5-7 km. I willl drive it for another 5 years easily. No EV company comes close to design of Reva If any manufactures can just upgrade Reva with same design to Li-ion under 5 lakhs (100 km range) , Then it will the Best car for Big cities for Middle class.

Indian government should promote small cars ... Specially this kind of electric vehicles.. Less traffic, budget friendly , less fuel consumption (i.e. less payment of dollars to foreign countries for oil) .. I have seen many families with only 2-3-4 person roaming in city in Scorpio , Innova , fortuner .. while other seats are empty .. They can .. they are free to do whatever they want .. But still 75% of Indian population don't have car .. and to attract those people who move in city on bike or scooty it's good option for those 75% population of india .. we can have more options in this kind of vehicle category.. if government promotes this kind of vehicles with subsidy and all... just like Japan

Shortened Rear Axle decreases stability. Tall form factor also decreases stability. Could be expanded horizontally and make usable. Never to forget that the current shape of kia cars (nearest to this model) have evolved over time. You can not suddenly reinvent a new working design which deviates entirely from centuries of proven record.

That will be one time affair (probably for 1 to 2 hour of the manufacturing time in the plant). But for their entire life of 8 to 10 years, they will be clean. Every day, no polluting the air. Running on green electricity (if available), etc. No daily gas guzzling and no creating of smoke/smog!
