I have the crt. I'm probably going to buy a sc1r as well just because several tracks these days have pretty restrictive sound limits.

I find it ridiculous that tracks have sound limits, but it is the reality. For this reason a lot of riders get the SC1-R and use it with the dB killer. ✌️

@ALFAVITAGA I know, right? It's a race track. I get it that they are trying to avoid noise complaints, but still. If people don't want to hear cars and bikes, don't move in next to a race track. I'm just glad that the two exhausts are basically interchangeable, so we can quiet it down when needed and let it roar otherwise, lol.

Hi, I have been deciding between standard position and high position of the exhaust on my RS 660 and I never liked the void space it leaves under the bike when the exhaust is high. I see that you have used some kind of a cover extension on the floor of the bike compared to stock. Did you get it from a distributor or did you make it yourself? Could you please share a link? Thanks!

Congrats on your new bike! I changed the oil at 200miles and then again at 600 miles which is the first service. You don’t have to do it that way, I just prefer it. Hey bro, how are you? Good to talk to you again and see another great video which I felt was awesome and perfectly done. Since we both have the same bike and exhaust, it was very interesting to me as well. You were trying to explain at one point the way the sound and feel was from the SC1 & before you said the word smooth it already was in my head, like I’m waiting for you to spit it out, lol. That was a great coincidence. Just listening to the sound of the SC1 it did sound smooth but there’s a big BUT, the CRT-1 is definitely favored by you and I and rightfully so because that sound is just flat out AWESOME!!! It is very impressive and people do turn their heads when they hear it drive-by. I was impressed to see the gains that that muffler was having on your Dyno test, which was very impressive. Has me thinking about getting some velocity stacks, lol, but other than that it still held its own and did very very well. I can’t get away from the looks!! I still favor the carbon fiber tip compared to this large monstrosity that’s hanging off the side of a bike like a stock muffler but, that’s just me. Everything about the CRT-1 is a plus in my book and I would never have changed that decision now that I have it on my own bike. Either way, great video fantastically laid out very informative. Your always the one that we can count on to go in such detail that we’re still entertained and interested while we’re watching your video. Thanks again for the video ride safe and be smart bud. 🔥🔥💥💥🙏🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

Have you tested it with barrelexhaust’s aftermarket db-killer? I’m hesring the praise about CR-T but as a commuter I’m wonder what it’s like and also as I live in a capital there will be cops around, afraid it will be so loud that they stop med. With a db-kilelr that would amazing if it actually got the sound down to a loud but an acceptable loud level, i leave for work at 6’am lol from an apartment block, neighbours will be mad. I guess the SC1R without db killer is loud enough? Does the CR-T sound THAT much better? SC1R downshifts and everything already sounds like a million dollars to me but I don’t wanna miss out on anything making me regret I didn’t got with the CR-T

Deep!!! Please read my message I couldn’t have stated it more clearly and plainly if you want a bad ass exhaust the CRT-1 is by far one of the best sounding exhaust on an RS 660. Like I said in my message, I would not change my decision, and if I bought another bike, I would definitely be looking into a CRT-1. If it’s the neighbors you’re worried about, once you start that bike for a couple of minutes ride down the street slowly pull over get to an area where you can let it idle for a while and warm up because that bike is for you and that sound is for you if your commuting on the bike You’re gonna listen to that beautiful sound every minute on that road. If it’s cops you’re worried about so be it. I don’t think it’s a moving violation anyway so even if they pulled you over except the ticket and move on, chances you getting caught again, and again very slim to none and you might not even get pulled over at all. I am in Florida, so I don’t get pulled over for the sound of my bike. In the morning when I do ride, I’m there for only a couple minutes to warm up and I’m out of there. Enjoy your ride and enjoy the sound of that beautiful bike. Ride safe don’t make the wrong decision.

I just saw this comment. As we discussed on the other comments, based on this information too, I believe the SC1-R is a better choice for you. I wouldn’t want to start my CRT at 6am at an apartment block. The CRT is loud. I mean LOUD! It’s all fun and games until you have to start your bike everyday. I think it would be best for you to start with the SC1-R, and later on if you’re looking for that insanely loud exhaust you can always buy the CRT muffler separately. ✌️

Curious to hear what this muffler sounds like cause I can guarantee you. He pulls up next to a Aprilla that has an RS 660 CRT - one exhaust and he’s gonna say damn I should’ve got the other exhaust. It’s all I gotta say, a big supporter of CRT - one I love that exhaust and I love my bike. I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. what happens if you fall? (i noticed you have frame sliders) will your frame sliders land on the ground first? or will the rizoma mirrors take the damage? edit : question number 2 haha, im going for the same exhaust,does it hurt your ears or is the noise tolerable? (its 115 db if im not mistaken)

Frame slider will protect the fairings and mirrors from a fall. But depending on the fall, the sliders might cause more damage to the bike by flipping the bike or even cracking the frame. The CRT exhaust is super loud. It did hurt my ears in the beginning but I got used to it quick.

@@Joepizzurro Thank you! Akro is not that popular option for the RS660 and I don’t know anyone that has the exhaust. Plus it’s not that simple because dyno comparisons must happen on the same bike on the same day. It was easier with my bike because all I had to do was switch the mufflers and run two dyno runs back to back. To dyno the Akro I would have to remove the SC Project, install the Akro, dyno it, and then install the SC Project again lol.

@gabroracing
@gabroracing Жыл бұрын
it's an exhaust thing... in RS660 there are 2 main exhaust "concepts": the Akra that gives the much smooth torque filling the midrange dip, and the SC-style: that give the better torque in the 8-10k region, where the Akra is soft, but suffers at midrange. moreover: fueling is fine and works as designed. You do not get full throttle till 7000rpm in the RS (tb's are too big to work full bore at low rpm), I saw motor works fine with a leaner mixture. It also help in keeping mileage good. 7 to 10k is were fueling must be spot-on at about 13:1 and it does, than i usually keep some extra fuel in the over-rev.
@ALFAVITAGA
@ALFAVITAGA Жыл бұрын
@@gabroracing Thank you for your input Gabriele! Regarding the fueling, I have noticed that when I cruise with my friends around 4-6k rpm, at the end of the ride I always have at least 1/4 tank left while my friends need to refuel. Its the perfect combo for both cruising and racing when you need it. The guys at the dyno told me the same thing. That the AFR is perfect. Your velocity stacks with your stacks map really made a difference! Its crazy that on my velocity stacks ride review, I’m literally describing what the graph shows. Now all I need is your air box 😛✌️

Even if the tuner was the same or the dyno was the same on the same day, pure HP numbers don’t always mean much. Even if a bike has more HP than the other, curb weight, geometry, aerodynamics, power delivery, torque range and so on, play a huge role on the performance of the bike.
