Nice review but Olympia Dallas jacket offers level two protection throughout including a level two back protector for under $200. The Taichi just doesn't measure up on protection or price. I ride in 25-40c weather year round in Thailand and we see Taichi stuff but it doesn't wear long term. That's my user review. Ride safe.

Hi Van, Would you know the denier rating/ number for the jacket, particularly on the impact areas where the armour is at? While I know you've mentioned it's heavier on those areas, it would be nice if Taichi had indicated more specifics. Thanks in advance!

Sorry Taichi does not supply stats like that. Some of the brands will supply this on select jackets but it is not very often. If protection and abrasion resistance are on the top of you list when shopping for a jacket I would go for the leather. - Van

No there is not an option of a removable waterproof liner for this jacket. If that is what you are interested in I would look at another jacket. - Van
