I've never rated milltek. They almost always sound like just a straight through pipe but charge crazy money for it. Makes no sense, any fabrication shop could make a nice pipe for 1/3 of the price.

Difficult to judge sounds before and after as the run-bys they were not recorded at the same place/time! Based on this video, spending £2,200 on a Miltek system would be nuts. ECU hack desperately needed so OPF can be removed!

Leider habe ich die für den Straßenverker in Deutschland legale Abgasanlage verbauen lassen und war sehr enttäuscht! Sie hatte mit Klappe zu unter 75 Dezibel und mit Klappe offen 87 DB, inklusive HJS-Downpipe. Die originale Abgasanlage hat 99 Dezibel mit Klappe offen. Außerdem fehlte auch etwas Leistung bei einer Messung, was verkraftbar gewesen wäre, wenn der Klang gestimmt hätte. Im Innenraum hat es stark vibriert, dass in der Türtafel und in der Lichtschalttafel Teile lose geworden sind. Für mich ist diese nicht zu empfehlen, da die originale Abgasanlage einen besseren Klang hat.

Hack of ECU is really needed to remove OPF/GPF so a downpipe can be installed for a better performance and sound, catback is doing not that much

The owner needs to tune it to Stage 2. Then only, will he know his money worth. I complained about Milltek, butafter my research I understood the package: Milltek Race Exhaust (OPF delete), New Intake, ECU remap, new intercooler(but that is up to you)

Catbacks/opf backs won't give you any lights/errors. But if you install a downpipe then you will most likely get a CEL

The price point of this exhaust is a joke. It's literally a back box, not even any tips. Milltek ultimate edition (Essentially the same back box style, but with tips) for the MK 2 Focus RS is £800. £2250? Pull the other one Milltek.

I have a stock 2018 rs3 and even mine sounds waaaay better and louder than this. Such a shame that the opf filter muffles the sound this much.... That is why i went for a 2018 instead of a 2019.. Didn't want my car to sound like a vacuum cleaner lol

Great vid! Explained very well. I had a problem with that when i was ordering my REMUS exhaust for my m2 competition. Didnt find any videos detailed like this. Cudos! However, i'd invest in a better mic and put it on the back of the diffuser, will be much more noticable change from stock to others. Or the less expensive one is to mount 1 gopro and the end of the tips. All in all, great vid. I am actually in the process of deciding in either an RS3 or an AMG 45s. Cheers
