RSD "2 Stroke Attack" RD400/TZ250

Roland has always wanted to jam a 2 stroke street motor into one of his race bikes. Thanks to Born Free 7, he got to make that happen!
Powered by a 1974 vintage Yamaha RD 400 motor wedged into a 1997 TZ 250 chassis the bike promised to be interesting. Sourcing parts from the shelves of Team Roberts Grand Prix race bikes as well as Roland’s own stock pile of TZ 250 GP bits the machine’s racing heritage grew into a bike that balanced the custom world with that of GP racing. Fast, incredibly light and good handling the RDTZ is a blast from the past and a look into the future of what custom bikes can be. All fab and build were done by Roland and the team at RSD including Aaron Boss and Scotty Diminick.

Guys, this has everything going for it in terms of the bike, videography etc. You fail completely on featuring a 2 stroke bike that is meant to be ridden hard and fast featuring the sound of that lovely engine. It is a cool song but I came here for the 2 stroke. Braaaaaaaap!

Love it, but the music got in the way. My Princess & I have just built her a "StuntBike" an aluminium frame with a heavily modded RD125 engine it has the most insane torque on any little bike I have ever ridden, it's so good to see someone of the "Now" using a 2 stroke, it seems as they get overlooked far too much, they truly are the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

cloud chaser ; Shoure , if it's geared so low that you're top end is 80 mph . Normally wheelie in 3rd, light feel in 4th. 115 mph top end. Highly massaged , Stock was 106 mph. I don't know about the Banchee thing guys do to them now tho .

Then you're not riding it properly, a friend of mine has an H2, but he keeps coming round to borrow my RD500, modern bikes almost ride themselves, there's no "Nanny Systems" on these you really cannot beat a Proper bike ridden Properly.

No expert but the first year of production was 1976 for the RD400. Back then Gary at Spec II (in Burbank CA) was making RDs (and other bikes) fast. I do mean fast....not just quick.
