No, the disk's gearbox has a slip clutch in it to prevent any damage to the gears whenever the disk has too much force applied to it. Works in the same general way as a Thunderbolt's horn does, where it slips whenever the winds are too high and forces the horn around.

Yes. It is definitely the same chopper and stator as a STH-10. The only difference is between the sirens is the STH-10 is omni-directional with horns. the RSH-10 is directional with a disc. So as far as the chopper and stator goes, they are the exact siren.

@bait28 Ya know something, though? I do kind-of wonder why these sirens, whose choppers are about 2 feet wide, have blades that are so dang heavy that they even do need 10-HP motors, which are usually 3-phase motors. There are some blower blades that could be about this big but probably still wouldn't need motors that strong. I guess these blades are pretty thick, but I wonder also why they need to be that thick and heavy. What if they made a siren this big but with thin, light parts?

Because, as I said before, for more than one model of their siren that's this size, it makes the most sense to just use the same basic core unit for all of them. No sense in bothering to make a whole separate mold without horn dimples just because that unit's going to be part of a model that doesn't have horns. And it also wouldn't make sense to build a bunch of sirens up into what only become STH-10s once ya put the horns on them, just to take the horns back off and then make this model.

@HelloKittyFanMan.15 жыл бұрын
They wouldn't have taken an STH-10 and taken the horns off from it and then put this disc on it to make this model. They would most likely start with a basic siren core--not a specific model to turn from one into the other, but probably what an STH-10 is BASED on (only)--and made this from one of those basic cores, and then take another set of core parts like it that they can then make an STH-10 from.

Why Is The Reflector Not Rotating
@bnsfbandit98077 жыл бұрын
jun bautista Because the chopper is spinning to slow
@dangerousdan41847 жыл бұрын
It is rotating - very slowly. The reflector drive is geared down from the main siren motor, which would normally reach speeds of around 3300 RPM if powered properly. In the video, he is spinning the siren only a couple hundred RPM's at best, using compressed air.
