I watched this one twice while working to get one of the raised garden beds ready for spring planting. I disturbed a large brown grasshopper that flew to some nearby furniture. Bees have been buzzing around as flowers in the other three beds are still blooming. I transplanted the one blooming flower from his bed into a pot which I set on another bed. Your unboxing let me see that I might order mystery boxes I. The future after I have finished unpacking my fabric and have gone through it to see what I won't be keeping.

Mystery boxes are fun as long as we keep our expectations low. If you love the designer then there’s a good chance you’ll love the mystery box. I’m too cold to go play outside 🤣. Our yard stays in the shade for most of the day at this time of year but I know warm days are coming. Spring was pretty nice here last year. Once It got over 75 😉

@rsislandcrafts One of the requirements my daughter had when looking to buy a house was a place for a vegetable garden. The new house faces north so that most of the backyard gets sun most of the year. I started outside wearing a long sleeve shirt but had to change to short sleeves after it got too warm in the sun. 60°F in the shade felt like 70°F in the sun.

From the other unboxing I’ve seen It looks like everyone received a fun box of fabric. I don’t follow fabric lines but my guess is that the fabrics might be relatively recent fabrics that their local shops sell. 🤷‍♀️

Good guess. I was thinking around 22 yards also. I am very pleased with the amount of fabric in each piece. I watched a recent unboxing and they received mostly 1/4 yard cuts. That’s fun too because It takes more fabrics to reach the 20 yard minimum but it’s nice to have longer lengths of fabric to work with.

I have no clue. They haven’t said whether or not they’ll have an affiliate program. I’m hoping so. I know It was fun for me and I loved that everyone could use the extra 20% discount on their orders.

It was hard at first but I’m adjusting. We do not miss the hurricanes but I do miss having roots. Knowing the history of the area and how it’s changed over the years. (There’s not much history here. 😉) I lived in Cape Coral for over 40 years. Cape Coral is only 67 years old. We watched It grow. I may be the only one but I do miss the humidity. It’s rained here 5 times in the past year and the longest rain storm was maybe 15 minutes long. There’s not much green here but it’s been like a scavenger hunt finding the small bursts of life in the desert. It’s hard to leave Florida. Those who don’t live in southern Florida can’t really understand how long the state is and how hard It is to leave. It’s not as easy as driving a couple hours across the border to a new state. Actually that's not a bad haul. Most of those I could work with. You didn't mention or at least I didn't catch what the cost was of that box. That is if you don't mind saying.

I didn’t mention the price because you can no longer purchase the box I bought and the price changes. The mystery boxes often go on sale. I believe I paid $79. I was looking at their site recently and the current box is on sale for $115. The full price for their current box is $215. I’m guessing It depends on the box and what kind of sale they’re running.

They do mention them in their emails when they go on sale but you can search their site for end of bolt mystery box. They have other mystery items also.

It takes you an hour to drive 28 miles?? WHAAAA???? I have had a few packages like that. I had one sitting in Murrieta...15 ish miles away for over 2 weeks. WTH? Were they TOLD to hold on to it? I wonder sometimes.

I’m always shaking my head at the post office etc. Yes, It takes from 50 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes to go to the airport which is 28 miles from here. It’s a great road but the speed limits are only 35 in places and there are many stop lights along the way. Add in six lanes of constant rush hour traffic and there’s your hour each way. It’s a very populated area.
