Where do the feathers come from? How do the animals feel about their feathers being taken out with force? Or are they killed? 1 living being = 1 shuttlecock?
@ken_cham14 жыл бұрын
i wonder after so many stages and processes, how they manage to keep the shuttle looking so good O.O

@FF2PM Not to think about the geese that were plucked alive several times to provide these feathers... (that's the part of production they never show). I'm a badminton player too...

Like anyone would even think they were made in the UK, They would cost $150 GBP a dozen given the labour cost. Unless you can perfect a robot to do the job the process isn't going to change. Wonder if a person could manufacture the feather though using composite materials ? May not be flexible enough though.

Fascinating - there's almost no automation at all. No wonder they're so expensive!

I hope they play some good music at those factories. Maybe some stand-up comic pieces. Otherwise, it may get a little boring, perhaps.

For those who think that they killed birds for making shuttlecocks, they don't kill birds to get feathers. They get feathers when the geese are killed. Only two pieces of feathers on the tip of the wings from each goose can be used to make shuttlecocks and they are not going to kill geese for that.
@garrygill94974 жыл бұрын
No, They are alive so that they can get feathers again
