The one thing about these Reddit stories I've found truly shocking is how many people just roll into private pools. Should have called the police even after they left.

I try to give her some benefit of the doubt, no mother should have to bury their child, and she did. Shes a broken person. I think the OP is better off having a living will signed by someone they can trust and just not discuss it again. Thats what I've done with my sister, she has a signed and notarized advanced directive should anything happen to me because our mother is weirdly religious and controlling like that, and she absolutely would keep me on a feeding tube for years and years and years like Terri Schiavo's selfish parents did. My mother doesn't know my sister has these documents and unless something actually does happen theres no reason to upset her with that knowledge.

The obvious solution to story #4...If it is quicker to walk from OP's house to get the kids, rather than wait in the line of cars, and OP already offered to let someone park in her driveway while picking up the kids, then friend-of-friend should park in OP's driveway, walk to get the kids herself, get back to work, and thank OP for being nice enough to lend her driveway to the cause. Story five: In my country there's a manga-style comic, advised for those age 10 and up. I'd often see parents buy it for their kids who are less then 10. Some stories from the comic had a horror element, and those parents complained that "their children got scared". It's their own fault they don't read what's on the cover.

“My mom asked how she would visit my grave” Weird how her mom just assumed that she would live longer than op. Wouldn’t the mom die of old age first? What a delusional woman… Edit: I understand that sometimes parents bury their children and that op’s mom did in fact bury one of her children. But that’s not something that a parent would expect to do, let alone plan out what happens after like op’s mom was doing. I just find it kinda shameful that she had a ‘when you die’ rather than a ‘if you die’ attitude.

@@nevan2201 I know it's been a year but saw your comment and wanted to post based off it. Most people nowadays are more familiar with the goofy cartoon TMNT series and movies. To be fair, even that, to a point, holds true to their origin comics, which is to make fun of super heroes, their villains, and the situation they get themselves into and out of, as well as the side characters they come across (such as April being a typical damsel in distress and a pretty decent parody of Lois Lane). However the original comics, from what I understand, were parodying the types of comics at the time, which were grim, gritty and, supposedly more realistic. With the characters being super serious, often melodramatic, etc. Think Batman or Daredevil. Well, more Daredevil since he and the turtles share an origin (lol).

@@velvety2006 I was just commenting on Reddit how the Batman Beyond Return Of The Joker movie scarred me as a kid. Idk who left Cartoon Network on, but I walked into the living room one night, a small child who already had a fear of clowns, and problems sleeping at night, and the Joker Jr. scene from that movie is playing. No one is in the living room. And I watched the whole scene. I can still remember a lot of that whole scene very vividly, and Im pretty sure I haven’t actually watched the movie since that night. Make sure you talk to a lawyer and get the correct legally binding forms filled out for your state/country. also, for the book one, I can't tell you how many manga and comics I helped the librarian relocate from the kids section. An important thing to remember about TMNT: Issue 1 starts with the Turtles picking a fight with, and slaughtering, a street gang. It ends with the Shredder, bleeding out from Leo's katana having gone clean through him, falling from a rooftop with a live thermite grenade in his hand, (yes, he dies in the very first issue and never returns[1]). The "Heroes on a Half Shell" were raised and trained for the sole purpose of carrying out a revenge murder, which they do without hesitation. [1] Several other people do take up the name over the years, including Raphael.

I think in the one my Nana and Pappaw are buried in only deals with the burial of cremated remains as the few times I’ve been there I haven’t seen a regular headstone; just ones big enough to cover up where the urn is, hold a first and last name and the year of birth and year of death.
