I just wanted to say there’s nothing more wholesome than seeing two close pals sitting on what I have to say is the nicest sofa I’ve seen and albeit have a giggle and giving Their honest opinions on a franchise that had gone down the dark path of many others. You bring so many styles to the channel but just seeing yourself and Sam in the flesh having a genuine good time is something that makes me happy. To me your gaming commentary is iconic given the chemistry, but seeing the men behind the curtain is magical. Having only seen one Jurassic park movie at this time a lot of the inside jokes go over my head. I would absolutely watch the original trilogy. But I really couldn’t give a shit about the Pratt trilogy and that’s me being honest. Gonna continue watching the video now so I don’t end up writing War and Peace 🤣👍

Hi Steven (and Sam), thanks for reviewing this last Jurassic movie, I've been waiting to hear your thoughts on it. Here are my thoughts: Honestly, while I liked all the dinosaur scenes (Theri is best Murder Turkey) as a whole it was just a mess ... My biggest problem with this movie is, once again: The God. Damn. Clone Girl! From her debut at the midway part of Fallen Kingdom I spent the rest of the movie wondering "why is she so important? You've been cloning real dinosaurs for over 20 years, why is cloning a human such a big thing?" I had thought Mr Evil Suit wanted to take her with him because, as of her grandfather's death, she is the heir of his fortune and stuff so maybe the guy was gonna take over as her guardian and steal it all ... But no, Dominion dropped the single stupidest Plot Nuke I have EVER heard in this franchise: that not only was Clone Girl's mother part of the original Jurassic Park team, but also she was "so brilliant" she made a clone-not-clone daughter who would live a full life free of the (convenient) genetic disease she herself was dying of. Not once, in the entirety of JP has this woman (whose name I honestly forgot) been mentioned, Dr Wu made no mention of it which is really weird considering how highly he spoke of the mother in Dominion btw, so I equate Clone Girl's Mother to Mother Miranda in RE: Village, a whole new character never mentioned or hinted at in prior media, made specifically to retcon pre-established canon with a fresh coat of paint, and just like I hated Miranda I hate the convenient plot device which is Clone Girl's Mother (and CG herself). Next: Dinosaurs are reproducing just like the ones in Jurassic Park, the movie talks about "learning to coexist", "respect", blah-blah-blah-blah, okay fair enough this would be okay if the Dinosaurs running around really were the last of their kind, by which I mean once they're gone they're gone. Doesn't matter which way you look at it, carnivore or herbivore, the continents are f*cked. The carnivores will eat whatever/whoever they want whenever they want and same for the herbivores with the greenery. But then, remember the Mosasaur, add the reproducing asexually thing into the mix, then the world's oceans are also f*cked! Because that big bastard can easily sink fishing trawlers, I'm certain it'd try sinking smaller boats or even ocean liners if it saw them too! Let's say it only eats prey of a certain size: whales, large sharks, etc, by itself this is bad for a single lifespan, but if Ocean Snappy Boi starts popping out Baby Ocean Snappy Bois then that's it, commercial fishing as we know it would be done and many species would die ... I'm also salty I can't blame the Clone Girl for this one because it was the submarine assholes in Fallen Kingdom who let that one out! Regardless of the terrestrial dinosaurs Ocean Snappy Boi has to die! Clare - Okay I was willing to (begrudgingly) forgive the "managed to outrun a T-Rex in heels" thing but I will NEVER forgive her being able to outrun that Feathered Slashy Boi while being chased over the goddamned rooftops! Lara Croft would've gotten munched and she isn't freaking Lara Croft! Chris Pratt was barely able to escape and he was riding a f*cking motorbike at full throttle! (Side-note: the “babysitter” in Jurassic World was actually Clare’s assistant, not a trained nanny in any way, shape or form. Poor Zara just got dumped with Clare’s responsibilities when she herself didn’t give a toss about spending time with the kids!) BioSyn - What even was their ultimate plot in the end? They had the means to bioengineer a breed of super bug that would eat any crops except their own, they could've had drones spray a bio-pesticide on other crops or bio-engineer a kind of super-rodent which reproduce fast AND are as effective as locusts ... they really didn't have to go through all the trouble with the dinosaurs/dino-bugs! Ellie - Conveniently divorced now and is pretty much only there to give Grant a reason to be involved, I'm pretty sure the only reason they weren't together in JP3 was because they couldn't think of a legitimate reason to get the military there to save them in the end ... and I am still wondering why there wasn't an armed military presence protecting the islands by that point! By JP3 we'd already had a rich family landing on Site B and their kid getting nibbled, an entire platoon of Mercenaries wanting to catch all the dinosaurs AND a boat of goddamned tourists who were parasailing (wait, how far did those assholes have to drive that dinky little boat to even get there?!) and ended up eaten/stranded. The government in these movies honestly seems to give zero sh*ts about enforcing a no-go zone around these islands! Ian Malcolm - I freaking love the guy but ... why would BioSyn pay a guy to tell everyone how f*cked they are for what they're doing? Pilot Lady (name forgotten) - She has no problem smuggling dinosaurs, but a sad-looking kid is enough to make her want to risk her ass? My best guess is they needed an excuse for the sky-bus driver to be there so had her be sympathetic to some random kid. Dumb Civilians - C'mon that one dude on the scooter had it coming! He was just casually rolling along until the one behind him roared at him only for him to then get eaten by the one in front of him?! Most Deserved Non-Villain Death of the series! The Final Battle - While I'm happy Rexy lived ... the end battle made no sense! Like I get why the dinosaurs congregated there because of the fire, I even kinda get why Rexy and Giga started to fight ... but why did Theri get involved? Best as I can recall Theri and Giga didn't have a grudge before the ending scene when suddenly Theri decides to not only get involved and shish-kebob Giga but also just kinda gives Rexy a "nah girl I'll get ya later" ... I kinda felt sorry for poor Giga, the way he went out was so much like Indy in Jurassic World: getting teamed up on by two dinos who would normally have sweet FA to do with each other (then getting chomped by Deus ex Mosasaur). Dodson - Sure it was a funny little callback but having who I always assumed to be the money-guy come back 5 movies later as the big boss of BioSyn AND have him killed by the Dilos (how the hell did they all get in the train btw?) ... Just felt like they were trying WAY too hard with the sorta-kinda callbacks/homages in the end. Beta - Not so much a complaint as it is an observation: we’re expected to believe Blue reproduced via mitosis (is that the right word?) yet Beta looks nothing like her (despite what Clone Girl said) and I have a theory: remember the blood transfusion Blue got from Rexy in Fallen Kingdom? I think Beta, although she is Blue’s child, inherited some of Rexy’s genes and this explains Beta’s more muted colouring. I could go on but I'mma stop here. Don't get me wrong I loved this movie, putting all the flaws aside purely for the spectacle it was genuinely fun so long as you don't think too hard about it. The only way they can keep the movies going is if the next one has the dinos free-roaming wherever they want and the humans have built Kaiju-sized barriers around their homes to keep them all out-wait ... they actually have 3 more planned?! Stop it! It's already dead 😭😭😭 Thanks for the new review as always Steven (and Sam), I've had an absolutely rotten week (had to say goodbye to my much-loved cat after 14+ years together) but your always-hilarious take on things cheered me up a bit. Sorry for the length, I do like this one but there were too many annoyances ... and goddammit I forgot one of my main peeves: that Grant didn’t meet Blue! Seriously having the guy with the best reasons to distrust Raptors meeting one that had a genuine bond with a human would’ve been a great end to Grant’s Raptor Arc. Seriously thanks for replying and for your kind words, your retrospectives are my favourite videos (I have a playlist of Jurassic Park, Alien and Dino Crisis so I have something fun to listen to while I do my chores or just to chill out and listen to. I think one of the major issues of the new trilogy was their marketing. They delegated so much information about the state of the in-universe world and events to marketing websites. Each movie had a website to go along with it as a marketing tactic. World had a Website that was like one you’d see for a zoo or theme park. Fallen Kingdom had the Dinosaur Protection Group website (Claire’s organization). I forget what Dominion’s website was called, but it featured reports of dinosaurs across the planet, causing problems and whatnot. Fallen Kingdom’s website in particular is a major offender of my original point. On the site, it described how Sorna’s food chain( or something like that) was decimated and wouldn’t be an acceptable place to move the dinosaurs to in order to save them from the Volcano. That’s incredibly important information to know, in my opinion, because I’m sure there were so many people that didn’t even know if the movies besides the original Jurassic Park were considered canon or at least being acknowledged until Dominion. Keeping that sort of relevant information behind a website is ridiculous, because one, it’s not like they did a good job telling people the sites exist, and two, not everyone wants to sift through an entire website to find lore points that should have been in the films.

Not that I'm going to attempt to defend this flim. But I think the logic of studying Maciy the clone girl and bata. That some how these two had the key that Henry wo needed to then engineer a judus locust that could infiltrate the swarms and I think introduce like a stelisation or birth defects into the locusts that would wipe them out in a single generation. Not sure how that would work. As if they have batas self reputation gene. Sure the normal locusts might all die of you still have the Judas ones running about.
