I'm not Canadian , but I grew up in Bellingham, Washington , not far from the Canadian border. I've travelled through every province in Canada, and yes Canada is a great nation, filled with great people. And of course, Gordon Lightfoot is one of the greatest singer-songwriters in history.

We were there and it was an amazing tribute to Gordon. We took our old albums and he was so gracious afterwards that he came out and autographed them. It was a beautiful, hot, windy day while sipping wine in a vineyard.

What a magical moment. What an amazing performance. I guess this is one of the last times Gordon performed the song. The power of the song is in the voices in the chorus - and here he receives them in full force. But also the four stanzas were done perfectly. you guys are great.Thanks!

Listen to his less known albums of the 70’s such as Don Quixote, Old Dan Records and Cold on The Shoulder ….masterpieces. His mastery of song and voice was unmatched.

I got to see Gordon at the Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento, CA, back in the late 80's. Amazing show. He was one of the few musicians who sounded as good live as on his records. And don't even get me started on his songwriting ... absolutely stellar ❤❤❤

Not sure but think it was a tribute to him, it was not a gordon lightfoot concert, I heard he is going to be touring in Canada this summer. Caught his show about 5 years ago and it was great, had a great sence of humor and the music was great, sure his voice was not as strong as perhaps when he was in his prime but he was on key and still was superb, Canadian treasure.
