This is the best explanation of crackle that I've found so far. I appreciate all the work that went into this video!

Thanks so much for sharing about crackle - I really appreciated how you presented it in such a down to earth fashion and how you showed the ease of creating variations using Fireworks.

Have you found a way to correct a warp thread when it was threaded incorrectly? After having finished the Crackle table runner.

In this most recent warp, I went to the place where the missed threading was and re-did it. I had the right heddles in that area b/c I'd just done them in the wrong order but if I'm missing the right heddles and don't want to re-thread an entire area, I'll make temporary heddles out of 8/2 cotton for that area to fix things and cut them out when the warp is off.

Väv is Swedish for weave. Since there is no ä in the English alphabet, it is sometimes written as vav and sometimes as vaev in English texts. Drall should also be spelled with an ä and not an a, i.e., dräll. (A and ä are both letters in the Swedish alphabet). Dräll is a particular type of weaving (sv.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr%C3%A4ll#:~:text=Dr%C3%A4ll%20%C3%A4r%20en%20v%C3%A4vteknik%2C%20som,v%C3%A4vs%20med%20atlas%2D%20eller%20kypertbinding) which I do not know how to translate, but I guess jämtlandsdräll is simply more specific than jämtlandsväv (weaving from Jämtland vs dräll from Jämtland).

Hi Malin -- very helpful! In the text within the video editing I have, I can't add the two dots over the a -- I wish I could. I spent a very long time trying!! Thank you for the clarification of vav in Swedish for weave.
