I hired a Fiesta ST from RSR last month. The first time I watched this, I thought "that laptime is practically impossible". Meaning I had no idea what techniques to employ to go anywhere near that time. After I had done about 8 laps in it and built up a reasonable pace (let's say under 9 minutes anyway), I watched the clip again, and found there actually is quite a lot of technique that can be taken from it. The closer I got to the pace, the more I could learn from the video. There you go Gabriele Piana , brilliant instruction without even meeting in person this time!

You should send this video to the engineers and pr guys from Ford! It's incredible to see what level of performance a skilled driver like Piana can extract from such a car with a rather small engine. True tempootetto mentality!

Awesome driving. Usually, when I watch Nurburgring videos I think "why is he driving so slow?". This time I thought "how can he go so fast?". You need a lot of experience and guts to keep the momentum in the corners as he does (which is the only way to keep the speed in less powerful cars), most of the times the car seems to drift with the 4 wheels. Two thumbs up, I'm amazed.

The yellow truck, the motorbike rider and the white Golf at the end cost 2-3 secs... I believe that we would be looking at an 8:10ish in a crystal clear lap. Excellent driving anyway.

Crazy i bet with a tune and fmic upgrade this car can do 7:56. I have a tune fmic and 3in dp and i can attest that it is WAY faster than stock easily 30hp and boatloads more torque. I just ran a 300hp fiesta on this track in forza 7 and could only get 8:45(controller) its insane to think someone did 8:14 well done 👍🏻
