Hey man, i was wondering if you had heard the upcoming mods from "exotic sounds"? He's apparentely found a looping method that makes the audio sound way more realistic in game. If you have, is this something you'd like to try in the future?

I need to listen to them on headphones. It seems he's found a lot more than a new looping method lol. They sound really really good. Engine, ambiance, road noise all spot on. It's always been possible to do in game. It's about how good your samples are, how you process them and how much time you are willing to spend in and out of fmod tweaking and mastering the 3D. If you have your own samples recorded with good mics like binaural and have loads of time to tweak, it can be done. I don't have that time unfortunately and I don't record samples myself. (actually I don't know if he does or not either). That's the difference. If I get 3 hours of free time, I turn a full sound round from start to finish, interior and exterior, recording samples, editing, importing, testing and tweaking. His approach (if I was to try to implement it) I think would take me days to tweak and perfect just the interior. This is why I release version 0.9 and then later when I get some time to tweak, update to version 1.0 and so on. It's just a different approach. Different priorities and focus. Kudos to him for achieving that and it's well worth the money if he is planning to sell for a reasonable price. My mods will always be free. This is my intention for now

@@SHRModding I totally understand your point of view. You've always been amongst the best sound modders anyway and it's amazing that you give them for free. When it comes to his sounds i know that he bought professional recordings and he definetely spent loads of time perfecting them.

Yes if you install on the 2022 and then use content manager to replace the sound on the 2023
