Great review mate. I recently bought the Richa cyclone gortex suit and I am very pleased with it but I didn't realise the armour was only level 1. I. Going to price upgrading to level 2. Cheers for the info.

My favourite brand is Halvarssons, expensive but it's what you've paid for, we had a similar dilema as yourselves with my wife's suit, she started out with cheap market stall rubbish and got wet and cold, she then upgraded to the Spidi H2o range which was fabulous, she never got cold or wet once, then three years ago Infinity knocked £600 off and offered 0% on womens Rukka Suki gear, the Rukka is heavy being laminate but it's pure quality and 100% waterproof, team it up with decent baselayers and it's great for the three seasons we ride, I would just like to that the RST probably leaked through the stitched or simply "wetted out" (the outer got waterlogged) and the liner was inadequate, you can spray on waterproofing agents the same stuff for tents. Good comparison.

the wife atm is using alpinestars Stella gear. she never seems to get 'wet' in that unless its really bad rain haha and only then its through the sticking seems. the Richa hasn't let me down yet but your right with the correct layers (for winter) you stay perfectly dry and warm. come the summer ill be back in the summer gear (mesh and jeans)

@@cartzwheels I love Italian stuff but being a lot older than you, I'm not Italian shaped any more! lol but the stuff I (we) is lovely so it's all good, boots are Daytona and simply brilliant but expensive

the jacket is a size medium. I tried the small and it fit but I wanted just that little bit more room to be able to put layers on underneath.
