हथियारों के इस व्यापार ने गृह-युद्ध की स्थिति झेल रहे देशों की हालात को बद से बदतर बना दिया है। शस्त्र व्यापार की होड़ को रोकने के लिए कुछ बुद्धिजीवियों ने एक मुहिम छेड़ी जिसके बाद संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने साल 2013 में शस्त्र व्यापार संधि को स्वीकार किया और साल 2014 से इसे लागू कर दिया गया। इस संधि का मकसद दुनिया भर में गैर कानूनी तरीके से हथियारों के व्यापार पर रोक लगाना है। अमेरिका समेत दुनिया के 130 देशों ने इस पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। लेकिन छह साल के बाद अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डॉनल्ड ट्रम्प ने कहा है कि अमेरिका शस्त्र व्यापार संधि से अलग हो जाएगा। अमेरिका दुनिया में सबसे ज्यादा हथियारों का व्यापार करता है। ऐसे में उसका इस संधि से अलग होना कई तरह की आशंकाओं को जन्म देगा। आज विशेष के इस अंक में बात करेंगे अमेरिका के शस्त्र व्यापार संधि से अलग होने पर, इसके साथ ही बात करेंगे शस्त्र व्यापार संधि और इसके मकसद पर, साथ ही इस पर भी नजर डालेंगे की इस संधि को लेकर भारत का रुख क्या है...
