I didn’t say you shouldn’t express your opinions. I just don’t think you should shut a PERSON down. Express opinions on everything, I’m open to conversation, but “if you don’t have anything nice to say...” should apply here when speaking of a person. Opinions on anything else are always open. Just thinking of how it probably doesn’t feel great to see all of the comments just bashing you.

@8stringedbandit7 жыл бұрын
Kris learn how to use apostrophes properly before you go saying other people are idiots. There's nothing wrong with feet, just that it's a completely arbitrary measurement much like horsepower. I mean whose foot were they measuring to come up with it? Whose yard was only that big (and two dimensional to boot)?
@theneweratm37157 жыл бұрын
Jeremy Oates idiot one foot is 12 inches
@8stringedbandit7 жыл бұрын
Hahaha and what's an inch? Historically what we now call the Imperial units of length had immense local variation, and was not standardised until after the metre. - the current formal definition of the length of a foot is itself based off the length of a metre. The metre, however was initially defined as being one ten-millionth of the distance between the north pole and the equator, though that has since changed to a definition based on the wavelength of light as scientific advance has demanded more precision

To clarify how horsepower is currently used, it's based on a formula that uses the actual measurable force of torque in foot pounds, or lb/ft...so you measure an engine's horsepower by first measuring it's torque on a dynamometer and then calculating what the horsepower is based on engine RPM multiplied by the lb/ft of torque measured at that RPM, then divided by 5252, and you'll have your horsepower number for that given RPM point on the graph...it's a completely arbitrary number since it's not actually measured...as the saying goes, horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, and torque is how much of the wall you take with you when you hit it...

quartz is used in the oscillator in the watch, the signal produced by the oscilator is regulated using the quartz crystal, which conducts electricity and certain energy vibrations, to tell the watch how fast or slow to tick the gears. quartz is very accurate cuz its chemical properties let it manage electrical frequencies and vibrations efficiently

I like how Brandon calls how everyone will make fun of him before he finishes his sentience
@bryanwoods33737 жыл бұрын
Not exactly a hard prediction. People make fun of him when he's in the thumbnail. And sometimes when he's not on the podcast. Very sad. If you actually listen to what he's saying and try just a little to understand what he's trying to say, he makes perfect sense. One of the big differences between the podcast crew and the fans when ripping into Brandon is that the podcast crew still tries to go back and break down his point. The fans just don't care.
@DaPopeANata7 жыл бұрын
Bryan Woods Exactly. In a way Brandon is like Gavin, but magnified. Both seem to have issues with putting their thoughts into words in a way that others can understand what they're trying to say. Granted Gavin is probably "correct" more often, and Brandon's issues with defending his point doesn't help, but they are more alike that some would give them credit for. Also unlike the fans is the crew's apparent enjoyment of Brandon getting loud and flustered with his defenses of his words, to the point where I think sometimes when they don't put enough effort into trying to "decode" him, it's because they find it funnier to not understand him.
@bryanwoods33737 жыл бұрын
Your last point is one of the things people ignore when talking about how uneducated and stupid Brandon is. We're seeing an hour of them messing with him. There's also been times they've praised Brandon for things. Gus has said that if he handed the show off to anyone, he would give it to Brandon because he's just as neurotic about making sure everything gets done. And Brandon got hired. If he were so stupid, he wouldn't be on staff. Don't know if he interned as well. I think what people really hate about him is that they want to be working for Rooster Teeth and someone has to be the sacrificial lamb that is finally seen as less talented to make way for them.

Im a mechanic and car nut, today i learned how any other specialist feels when these guys start talking about their field jeesus i love you guys, but horsepower is a , force which is work over time, you have to think of a horse on a treadmill attached to a clutch amd gears which changes the number of gallops from gallop to gallop to gallop to 1/3 of a gallop so it can inrcrease speed whithout a change in power output
@ACUechow7 жыл бұрын

Okay so an easy way to think of horsepower and torque is that horsepower is how much you can do (such as the origin of lifting the coal or whatever it was) and torque is how fast you are able to achieve that maximum power. Easiest way to explain it
