The Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira was born on 16th April 1958 in Buryansungwe village Kitagwenda Parish, He was ordained a priest on 23rd September 1984 at Kitagwenda Parish in Fort Portal Diocese. He was appointed bishop of the Diocese of Kasese on 15th April 2014 by His Holiness Pope Francis and was consecrated bishop on 12th July 2014 at Kasese Cathedral.
