I did it. After my discharge from USMC and Vietnam I went to sea in the US Merchant Marine. Best move of my life. I’m 70 now no longer can I ship out again but I’d give all the rest of my remaining days for just 1 more ship and deployment. Thank you god for letting me go to sea. Turned me into a real sailor and a solid good man. I die with a happy content heart. I seen the whole world 10 times over. 30 diff countries. I HAD A BLAST ALL THE GOOD BAD AND UGLY.

I spent a lifetime in the sea. When I went out East I was shown past lives. Then saw More n more. I went down on a couple. A medic on one. Men most lives. Although 😉 at least once I was a “ship girl”. I seemed happy, they treated me well ☺️ I died of some fever. Probably gonorrhea or something like that I’m sure. I should turn them into short books 🧜♀️🧜♀️🧜♀️

I’m sure you dream of it; feel ur bed move, & miss it. Sometimes I miss it terribly. And I only spent 27 days on the east coast. My gma had A speedboat with a sleeper, when I was growing up. We never got to go anywhere and sleep in it but we slept in it while it was docked LOL

Remember children’s read-along books? “When you hear the bell chime, turn the page...) You don’t even have to turn the page! These stories are each being read at an even tempo, steady volume, and with distinct annunciation. I liked having different voices for adjacent stories. Thanks to all the great volunteers. Thanks LibriVox!

Bligh's account, besides being incredibly biased towards his own "heroism" is largely lies. During the courts martial (not just of those left on the ship!) an enormously different story came out, to the point Bligh was officislly and *publically* reprimanded.

These readers need training. They have good voices, but have no idea how to project to a listening public. That's what communication education is all about. I have found that dozens of Livbrivox readers suffer from the same problems. Just because one can read, does not mean that they are ready for public exposure. This is like everyone sounding like Sinatra in the shower. I commend the time and generosity of the readers, but, they need to be tested for training before ruining what would have been an wonderful experience for the public. Sadly, many of the classics recorded by Librivox readers are never recorded again by trained readers, and, therefore, those accessing these works for the first time are discouraged from pursuing venues that could in fact do justice to the masterworks.
