Hello, KZbin Japanese users. I don't know how I got here (and honestly I don't understand Japanese enough to know most of what you guys are saying)... But I'd just like to say this as an English user who played this game growing up around 1995... -We feel embarrassed and cringe when we look at the actors too! (I can understand that much when everybody laughed when Char first appeared.) The acting was really is bad isn't it? It's even worse in English honestly. .... But despite that I am still thankful of this game despite it's flaws. For many of us outside of Japan. This game was our first exposure to the Gundam franchise. This game made us imagine how it would feel to pilot a realistic giant robot. And the 3D graphics for it's time was beautiful. For me personally, I love this game simply because it eventually exposed me to the world of Mobile Suits... This is a weird game even for us... Because we hate it for it's flaws, but love it for the nostalgia at the same time.... On behalf of English Gundam fans, thank you for giving an English Gundam game a chance... Hopefully one day our game developers can do better in the future. Since the Gundam franchise (unlike 20 years ago) have a much much bigger following nowadays.
Random American here. I would like to explain a few things about this game’s existence First off… it was one of the first exposures to the franchise in America. The studio that made this was called Presto Studios. They do not exist anymore, however they did make a game that was a cult classic called The Journeyman Project Bandai was one of the game’s publishers so I guess that was probably why they were picked Also, they call the Zaku’s the Zaks. Even though some in game text keeps the Zaku name. As for the infamous Chin Comet, the helmet he wears was actually a white version of the helmet worn by Darth Vader from Star Wars What I do know about the Japanese version of this game was that they got a lot of actors from the originally anime to reprise their roles As for the franchise’s success in America….. it won’t be until 2000 that the franchise will become popular with Gundam Wing As for my favorite, I’m rather fond of G Gundam SHINING FINGER
