'CSI-style' science is being used to find out if there are great white sharks off the Irish coast. After a week-long search off the Blasket Islands in Co Kerry ended without a sighting earlier this month, laboratory tests are to be carried out to see if shark DNA is present in water samples from the area. While there has never been a confirmed great white shark sighting in Irish waters, many scientists believe the conditions are suitable.
