For the record: Challenge mode is actually easier than easy mode. It's due to a bug in the way damage calculation, stat calculation and the additional levels added (or taken away in easy mode) work. Basically, it shows the levels but doesnt add the stats for them. For instance, Charens Lilipup in challenge mode is level 14 but it still has the stats of a level 13 one. This geta worse as the game goes on due to to way challenge mode works. Its 1 level difference up to Roxie, 2 level difference up to Elesa, 3 level difference up to Skyla and 4 for the rest of the game. Which means, if you face the elite 4 at the same level, you automatically have a +4 level difference on challenge mode and a -4 on easy. It doesn't apply to all trainers, the ones on the routes are unaffected but every "boss" trainer has it apply. This is a bug that not even ROM hacks like blaze black 2 are able to fix. It's something that slipped past Gamefreak. It means that end game in easy mode is more challenging in easy mode due to less exp because of the levels but the Pokémon still have normal mode stats. Normal mode Is completely unaffected fyi.

Eevee evolves into Vaporeon since he already had Electivire and Emboar and he cancelled the two friendliness evolutions (he also mentioned you can't get glaceon or leafeon until post game) I also thought possibly Reuniclus as a member, and one of Roserade, Ferrothorn, or Amoongus as grass types to round out the fire, water, grass core. Leaning towards Roserade cuz Chuggaa likes poison types

@@zachhouston514 oh cool predictions! I thought maybe for a grass type he’d use Sawsbuck but roserade is a cool prediction too, and he does like poison types. And yeah vaporeon is obvious, I saw people when he first got eevee theorise flareon because it’s name, Aidan, means little fire but that’s not possible because he already has Emboar. And I’m actually shocked he chose Elekid because he doesn’t seem like he’d use trade evolutions because he normally wants people to be able to replicate his team. But yeah cool predictions!

Helllll yeah. Gonna be starting my first Nuzlocke along side this one. It’ll be cool to see how far I get. Edit: Holy crap I had no idea about the Entralink single player stuff. Definitely glad I'm watching this playthrough while I play, this'll make things even more entertaining!! Edit #2: 2:00:38 Alright so following Dan mindlessly is not always the best idea lol. My Oshawott, Resolve, got down to 4 HP fighting that Koffing because the Grimer had disabled my watergun, whew. Glad I had an Oran berry on Resolve. Oh yeah, my naming convention for this one was like values and stuff like that, so I've got my Oshawott named Resolve, a Patrat named Foresight, and a Lillipup named Trust. Edit #3: 2:13:26 Well I messed up and killed the Magnemite that I had encountered. It seems Dan got unlucky so at least we're on the same page, sorta. All my pokemon are still alive so far. Edit #4: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH My team just got wiped by Roxie's whirlipede... I used Razor Shell on it twice, the first time Resolve got poisoned but I had the berry to cure it. The second time Resolve got poisoned again and it went all downhill from there. Forgot that RT had said to use the water gun in order to not get poisoned. Resolve was lvl 19 and Trust was lvl 17, and I had just used Trust to clear her Koffin without any trouble. Thought I had it in the bag T_T. Well time to start over... Allllrighty. Got Oshawott again and named him Courage. I caught a Purrloin and named him Patience, caught a Sewaddle and named him Compassion, and was really lucky and got a Riolu and named him Ferocity. Courage got down to 3 health trying to catch Ferocity and I had to switch in Patience, but I finally got him. This run is going a lot better so far. Died to Cheren like an idiot. Had Fercoity at lvl 11 and Courage at lvl 13. Ferocity got the patrat low and I switched into Courage to kill it. Then I fought his lillipup to which Courage died to, even after he ate his berry. Workup is no joke. So I guess I'm starting over again, gotta play more careful this time lol. Ok, third time's the charm right? Made it back to the area and had my Dewott named Tenacity, Patrat named Insight, Lillipup named Discipline, Sunkern named Growth, and I had just caught a Magnemite and named it Ingenuity. Well... I accidently killed Ingenuity when farming because I wasn't paying attention and attack a patrat who used Bide and he basically 1 HKO'd poor Ingenuity. Well that teaches me I guess. Gonna get Tenacity up to lvl 21 and try to go for Roxy, wish me luck! DID IT! I remembered to use water gun and I had a Pecha berry on both Tenacity and Discipline just in case. I've definitely learned my lesson and now I will pay attention to what abilities/tricks my opponents have. Time to finally move forward! I'm just gonna be extra careful now so I don't have to restart lol. 3:00:22 - Idk how but mine was negative 42 billion dollars lol. 4:40:29 - Gooooood lord. That took me like 45 minutes and 38 repels to finally get the encounter. I was lucky that I had my level 19 Sandile (named Grit) with me but still that took forever. Ended up naming the Eevee Devotion, which I think is fitting after that ordeal. Whew, the battle with Burg was a close one. I grinded and got Devotion and Discipline both to lvl 24, and even with that Burg's Leavanny was a difficult fight. I got through the first two pretty competently with Devotion and Tenacity, and was unsure what to do next. 5:09:17 - I had taken Growth with me incase I needed a switch in, and I wasn't sure if I needed to here. I decided I might as well be safe, and man am I glad that I was. Growth of course died, but I got to switch in Discipline with full health. Even with full health, Burg's Leavanny was a menace. His first attack brought Tenacity down to 45 health from 73, and I was worried Tenacity was gonna get killed on the next attack. Luckily the mad bastard dodged his razor leaf and dealt a killing blow to the Leavanny. He might've survived that second attack if it hit but still that was way to close for comfort. GGs Burg. Onto the next video! DOES THE PAIN NEVER END. Grit died to a random Pokémon in the wild, KO’d him from half heath without a super effective move and was lower lvl than him. Imagine my surprise. Had Tenacity and my Drillbur named Humility die to two lvl 26 Timburs from one of the football players in Nimbasa city. I know Teancity died on half health from a crit (at lvl 26) on the second Timburr. Then Patience died to it (from I think a crit), and Devotion also died because of the super effective attacks. Patience was my last one on half health and I decided to call it there. Was so pissed, will be starting a new one later, but man I am beat. I can’t tell if RT is lucky or I’m really unlucky. I will beat this nuzlocke! Eventually…

I felt physically relieved of stress when he caught his fire type. wowzers lol I wouldn't count the sewers with Average as a encounter. the npc is completely and entirely out of your control. OH MAN that eevee catch was amazing.

@@nakedstatue8517 Honestly I was so sad when the switch was announced, like that could've been the 4ds but Nintendo really said "Y'know that fun clamshell design we've had forever? Yeah, it's a tablet with two teeny tiny wii remotes slapped on it now :)" and it actually sucks- It's so much a tablet that modders have ported android to it. After the Wii their consoles have lost all their flare imo, the Wii U was okay but really feels like a pilot episode for the Switch-

So I'm going to be 100% honest here, while the original Black and White were my favourite pokemon games, still to this day the games I judge all other pokemon games against and usually find lacking in one area or another.... Black 2 and White 2 are.... the complete opposite. I don't like them. BUT Dan made me change my mind about thinking I wouldn't like Legends Arceus, which is now up there with Black and White, and Dan's playthrough of Shield made me willing to give it a go and find that, I actually enjoyed that too. I've recently decided I was going to play through all my pokemon games in order, Crystal to Violet and Black 2 was the one I was most not looking forward too. Hopefully seeing Dan get to play his favourite one of the franchise helps to get me excited for playing it myself... any maybe actually finishing it because I won't lie, I put it down after the first forced Pokestar Studio bit... and never picked it up again. So yeah, fingers crossed Dan can work his pokemon magic again and get me hyped for a game I previously wanted nothing to do with.

I played on hard mode once by putting a Sunflora on my team. I legitimately like the pokemon because it's so cute and happy. Whenever I battled my brother's team though he beat me because Sunflora is just so weak in battle.

Same here, I got a secondhand copy of white from my neighbor at about ten years old, right after I had gotten my 2ds, and it was the first and only pokemon game I had ever played for the next almost 10 years, I played through the full game no less than four times over that point. Im kind of following allong with Dan as he get encounters and in the sewer part where his rival messes things up on my part I was able to paralyse his Servine and get zubat to use bite making him flinch, four turns we're spent with Servine either flinching or being paralysed And now Zubat is mine :)

I'm always glad when RT does things like talking bout something, like the AI stuff at around 2:55:00 and gives his honest opinion, it's always interesting I am a little into Stable Diffusion, it's a cool program (though you can argue it's ethics given how it gets it's material without permission from the original artists) but AI-bros (and tech bros in general) are SO fucking obnoxious about it. They go on and on about how this will "change the human condition" and "evolve the way we perceive arts" and i'm just like "Mate, i'm seeing a pear thats generated weirdly with a amateurish bokeh effect around it" and yeah, it's cool that this can be done but it''s not nearly as society-upheaving as these people like to claim. It's crypto all over again, they latch onto something with potential, hype each other into high heavens (bonus points if a financial incentive is there) and then buzz off when interest wanes and move onto the next "big thing"

It would've been funny if he immediately failed to spell Success's name Aww I was hoping the dupes clause would be mandatory this time around. Making it non-mandatory really takes away from the individualism of the Pokemon and can be exploited to make the game easy and overly consistent. Though I dunno how many places Excadrill can be found in this game so I can only hope that we don't have an Excadrill/Gyarados equivalent. Or a surplus of Magikarp encounters. 1:56:14 The first adjective used (rhymes with numb) IS actually ableist people just largely don't care. But that only makes it sadder when I see someone who is personally offended by that word get made fun of because of how regulated the word is. Like, Disney Channel will just throw it out there.
