B2W2 is probably the best game for most monotype playthroughs (excluding SwSh due to wild area giving at least 1 pokemon of every type pre-gym 1) due to the wide type variety. Even Dragon gets 3 fully evolved options pre-elite four which, while not ideal, is better than most other games

I would like to make a suggestion on a hardcore challenge that i believe no one has done: platinum flying types only, with the main issue being that your only encounters for roark are zubat and staravia, however once you go past the 1st gym the challenge would be pretty fun as there's a wide variety of encounters to assemble an interesting team

I think that may depend on the rules you use - for instance, Wurmple is actually available before Roark and could potentially evolve into Beautifly, who learns absorb and is how I swept through Roark on my Mono-bug challenge. Though in this case it depends on if you allow yourself to use pokemon that will eventually evolve into a specific type or not.

I just binged all your content in the span of about a week. I absolutely love your calm voice, funny stories, knowledge about the game, and editing. I've always loved Pokemon and in the games, I would usually just choose big damage stab attacks like psychic, thunder, flamethrower, surf, etc. I was super young so stat changing moves never meant much to me; if it didn't do damage, it was poopoo. But now that I am older and slightly more educated, I wanna play through a game and try to think about strategies. Not doing nuzlockes, but maybe just not overleveling for gyms and E4. IIt's called: Tranquil uses work up and return, or if the unthinkable happens, I'll sac woobat/swoobat, as I'll have a sigiliph, who is better. But I dread pre elesa colress fight might require some hacks uning golbat/crobat. Other difficulties are clay, ghetsis, grimsley, Iris, Zinzolin, mabye Drayden and marloon, and also I'm doing the entire post game as well with the nuzlocke rules, so there is another rematch with rock types and so on.

Damn, today I also got wiped by Iris Dragon Dancing Haxorus (Hardcore Nuzlocke rules : no items in battle, no overleveling, set mode). Despite EV training my team and planning the elite 4 + champion battles, I made several mistakes (and got an unfortunate critical hit) that caused death to my win-conditions. I think this would have been better if I didn't killed some really useful mons during training session (RIP Starmie, Excadrill, Zoroark...). But I really had fun with this run and it was my first time playing with such strict rules. Now I just started my second attempt and will be more careful. And today I'm glad you posted this video ! I love watching nuzlockes from Silph, I think he is great and very thorough with his runs and teams, meaning he rarely gets caught slacking, it is entertaining to me but I can't really relate to him cause I'm not as perfectionist as he is. On the other hand, we have Flygon, an absolute master of comedy and slip ups that make his run so much more relatable. Poor thanos was just trying to NOT DIE and impress him, 2 crits in a row! And all thanos hears before it dies is "thanks for absolutely ruining my marshal strategy you dumb cat" I feel bad for thanos the liepard. May it's virtual soul rest in peace...
