Thanks for publishing this quite a informative session. It’s good to know how important RTI is to people of India. On the concern of Data protection law, there are many ways people information can be abstracted or made anonymous without revealing their details before giving the information to the RTI user.

The Government officials are not giving any respect to Right to Information Act. I submitted a letter in HMDA Tarnaka, Hyderabad and the letter is written by a well known and respected lawyer of High Court who is now the Judge for High Court asking for an information regarding the award copy for the Land Acquisition made by HMDA in A place called Uppal and the project is named as Uppal Bhagath and the officers did not respond and I filed a case in HIGH COURT and mentioned the same in my Court Filing and HMDA officers responded saying they provided the information to me and I was lying that I did not receive. There is a system to check who is lying and the system is e-mail proof /Acknowledgment. NONE of the Government officials use government email addresses to respond or to receive in any department because they are scared that they can be tracked. If they don’t have / fallow a proper tracking system the LAWS made or of no use for a Common Man / Woman.

Efforts should be made to publish all the information in public domain to the extent possible rather than citizen running around for information.

How is Personal Data linked to Ration Records which is a Government Scheme/ Department list? Why not make public property of ShekharGupta [AugustaWestland Deal] then? About all the Judge's wives running foreign NGO's and also Of Chandrachud(foreign appointee)!
