This is the method I teach. Though, I work with another guy who prefers the slack out method. If I am teaching in one of his venues i will do it his way. I can see from the perspective of a brand new shooter where the slack out might be beneficial. But, I freaking rock the reset method.

Great video. I believe trigger finger placement is entirely dependent on the pistol size, grip type, and finger length. There are competitive shooters who place the first joint of their finger on the trigger which is “wrong”. But in my experience there is no wrong just different. For example with my mid size colt and smith and Wesson’s the standard middle of my pointer finger placement works great but with my shorter and smaller round but gripped M206 I tend to lean towards my first joint as opposed to mid finger. It’s all about preference

I agree. I recently bought a M&P 2.0 compact. A little skeptical becsuse I have big hands but was reassured by others that they also had big hands and it fit them fine🙃. Was really bummed i have to much finger no matter what backstrap i use😢. I'd have to loosen my grip a tad and bend my finger more and I just don't think thats feasible. Got such a great deal on it. Beautiful 🔫! Light combo that came with it fits it like🤌perfectection. Didn't even get to shoot it and now I guess I got to sell it...

Kick ass video! I also watched Frogman Tactical’s new video which touches on this subject as well. Took my notes from that video! I’m trying to find ways to speed up my shots more accurately. Thanks for this video, bro.

@Desert Tactical grip grip grip...grip is the foundation for everything else. For quick follow-up shots. GRIP! And only run your trigger finger out to the wall so you can break your next shot off more quickly. But if your grip is trash, then your follow up sight picture will be slower and follow up shots will be less accurate.

I’m 5’11 with longer bigger hands so I could never get my index finger in the center, I had to work around it with my handgrip and trigger pull. I used to shoot left really bad, it took about 2 years and working hard to get consistent follow up shoots fast

Great video, I am a new shooter and I am curious as to what trigger is on your firearm? It does not look like any stock trigger that I have seen during my short time as a new shooter.
@RTTGunsGear11 ай бұрын
I have used stock triggers until recently as I have been testing and reviewing them. The one I'm currently using is the Overwatch PolyDat trigger. It's nice!

There's dry rifle slides, magazines, and lasers. But none of them replace old fashioned live fire practice. They're all good..don't get me wrong.

@@RTTGunsGear your review on it gave me a new appreciation for it. It’s been my daily carry for the last 2 years and close to 4K rounds through it with out a recollection of any gun related malfunction. Do you plan on following up with an update on your 19x?

@Mike Robinson I appreciate it! I might do another. I honestly haven't been keeping very close track to the round count since my 10,000 round review of it. But maybe a "5 years later" or something may be in store. I am getting ready to do a Gen 3 slide on the 19x video though.

Now how he showed you with the tip of his finger. If you can't reach the trigger like that, it guns too big. You don't need a big gun. You need to be able to hit the target
