Historically Uttar Pradesh [UP] is divided in 4 parts - west up [Paschim up] , east UP [ PURVANCHAL] , CENTRE UP [ AWADH] , SOUTH UP [ BUNDELKHAND] in this show whoever sits on Mirzapur throne [district of Purvanchal] control whole Purvanchal. Jaunpur is another district lies in Purvanchal.

Loved this season, many people just don't understand the importance and art of good storytelling, they just want gratification scene after scene, that's not cinema. This season was well made and not at all disappointing. May not be as quick and satisfying as 1 and 2, but still was interesting till the very end, that's when all the patience pays off

It's not just about the storytelling,you can say it was less energetic and frenetic than previous seasons,it went from high octane high energy Breaking bad like pace to slow burner schematic series like a Game of Thrones.They did it differently and that may not satisfy the taste buds of people who expected same kind of a show.

I am from Uttarpradesh Gorakhpur, Purvanchal is another name for east uttarpradesh, uttar pradesh is divided into east and west uttarpradesh, Mirzapur is the throne of king of mafias, all the other major districts of the state uttarpradesh have their own Dons but Don of Mirzapur has always been the king of purvanchal, that is east uttarpradesh

Purvanchal means Eastside. Mirzapur, Jaunpur and other places on map you see marked are different districts on the east side of the Uttar Pradesh(UP) state of India. So, historically in the Mafia world, Mirzapur throne always had power and significance and the Mirzapur throne always controlled the east. That's why other Dons are respectful and don't directly mess with whoever is in control of Mirzapur.

As an Indian and a die-hard Mirzapur fan, I’m telling you-please don’t watch Season 3. You’ll end up really disappointed and dissatisfied. Season 3 is honestly the worst season they could have given us. There’s no violence, no great comedy, and no proper screen time for major characters. Plus, there are way too many useless sub-plots. The reason? The show’s writers changed in Season 3, and it messed up everything. Also, the show took four years to come out with this season, so they overworked it. If you’re a fan of the Mirzapur series, I’d say stop at Season 2. Otherwise, you’ll just be let down.

purvanchal means east thats referred in a state in india called UP [uttar pradesh] purvanchal consist of many large cities like mirzapur , jaunpur , basti , azamgarh , paryagraj , baliya and much more. so the fight is for whole east and generally whoever rules mirzapur rules entire east.
