@Mad4Life he can try to fix it but only ed knows how to fix that armor correctly. remember al's soul is in there so if he tried to fix the armor and accidentally made some of the armor parts too slim he might die. that's why he needed the philosopher's stone to fix it correctly.

Im sure any person could figure out the ground and the suit of armor are not the same material, and he cant just pull the material out of the ground like nothing. Thats not how it works. And even if the same materials were there, it would be taking a huge risk to attempt to guess how much there was in the ground and how he needed to put it together. When Ed makes spears, hes not making a metal spear out of stone, its a stone spear out of stone. And even then, if Al decided to use stone as a sub in for his legs, he had to know how exactly to make them. If he made them too heavy he wouldnt be able to move, too light and theyd collapse before he could stand, and he didnt have the time to try and figure that out. So no, he really had every excuse.

bob billy Ed is part of the military put he wasn’t trained in military tactics. His entire focus is directed to alchemy and the study of the philosopher stone. He’s not an actual soldier. Also even if Ed did know Morse code how would that translate to Al knowing it?

They've been working together and building off of each other since they were little as hell, all they did was try to learn new things. And if Al really didn't get any training or learning whatsoever that's even dumber. How are you strongest military forces going to maneuver with the rest of your forces if they don't know anything about military tactics or communications? Seems like the bare minimum you'd want your child soldiers knowing...

They are in the military for their researches in priority, and in support of the regular troops in times of need but don't have any military training of any kind, actually most of the time they don't have any contact with them apart from their yearly assessment. Morse code is well known in our world because it is used by civilians, but if it was a code only used by the military (and code in the meaning of encrypted communication so the enemy can't make use of it), it's not surprising that civilians don't know it. Ed and Al could have known it since they are both very knowledgeable in a lot of fields, but the contrary is far from "dumb".

Being overly critical of Al. Sure he should've stopped Pride from clanging away at his head in the first place but he's clearly not an assertive personality and he just assumed Pride was acting like a kid and just doing that out of boredom. It's a bit unexpected for him to just be taken in by Pride's appearance like that but it really comes down to the artist saying "I think it's worth having this happen so we can get a nice two-on-one battle with Kimblee and Pride versus Alphonse. So, I think it's an example of the mostly tight writing being loosened a bit for an enjoyable scenario.

I'm a bit disappointed Scar wasn't the one to kill Kimblee. It would have been poetic but somewhat ironic. By killing Kimblee, Scar would have finally gotten justice for the slaughter of his people and brother's death. Also, by having Scar be the one to kill Kimblee, it would symbolize Kimblee dying by the hands of his own creation.

That's how Rob always looks though, like he's always there just because he's friends with the others rather than because he's actually interested in the show. If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead, then you’ll be saved (Romans 10:9). You are born-again with the Spirit of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and are not only legally justified before God, but also are accredited His righteous (Romans 4:24). Believers live for Christ now, so get to know Him through His Word. I recommend reading the book of Romans and the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), and watching Pastor Joseph Prince’s online sermons!
