@@mulanomula Me about Eri: 💀 Nahh, but you're right. It's just that in the same way I love Eri as a character, her Quirk being in the story is a bit worrying. I'm concerned that she might just be used as a plot device to undo consequences in an unsatisfying way. But at the very least, unlike Star, she's just a kid. She (hopefully) isn't gonna be able to step up and make the same kind of impact in the story as the 1. US hero.

If you think about it objectively, she was clutch. She singlehandedly denied him getting a quirk he desperately wanted and significantly weakened him all in one go. All that work they did on Tomura to make him a perfect vessel was nearly undone by one hero. The only failures on her part were that she never got to team up with One For All (which AFO said was his worst case scenario) and she didn't actually kill him. But if you're looking at this from a pure operations standpoint, AFO/Tomura took a pretty big step back thanks to her. It didn't just buy Japan more time to plan an attack, it helped even the playing field by weakening what seemed like an unstoppable Tomura Shigaraki/AFO.

Something I always loved about My Hero is how they handle All Might as a character. Even after his retirement. "Specters" of his past continue to haunt AFO. His impact on the world was so great his legacy is being continued by not just Deku, but countless hero's that were inspired by him. If there's something MHA can consistently be praised for. It's how well they do mentor characters.

She cant declare two names for the same rule so it still applies that she cant use new order in that way while tomura/afo are having the identity crisis. Her quirk also cant affect things she isnt touching so her quirk cant just transfer to someone else

It doesnt work if she failed to specifically name the subject of the rule. Shigaraki is having identity crisis rn since he sometimes himself, sometimes afo or both so any rule will be invalid. Like how shigaraki didnt die when he moved after she set a rule to him.

she can't place a single rule on two people. Also, she doesn't know WHY her rules don't work on Shigaraki. She has no idea AFO and Shiggy are fighting for control inside his body. She has to make a rule that effects a single thing. For example, she can't say, "New Order. If New Order is stolen, whoever stole it will die/cease to exist." Because a rule like that would effect Shigaraki by proxy, which is impossible. "New Order will oppose other quirks" was the best possible plan. SInce it's a rule that can A: persist after her death and B: effect Shigaraki by clever wordplay.

My interpretation of the sequence of events is that he was already in the process of taking that quirk, so it's quickly weakening while she's trying to use it to save her own life. Then she decides to impose a rule on New Order with New Order as a contingency.

Very likely because Shigaraki's Decay was much more powerful than her New Order as there was a limit to how much she can buff/debuff. Remember that she said "If Shigaraki moves, his heart will stop.". Her goal was probably to catch him but why couldn't she say "Shigaraki is immobilize no matter what."? Because her quirk couldn't overpower his monstrous strength so she targeted his much smaller and weaker muscle bunch aka his heart.

Somehow there's a girl in the story that reversed a character into having a quirk back but no one thought to use her to revert aizawa back into having 2 eyes. "He refused to have his leg back" so you telling me a guy who chose to amputate himself to avoid getting taken out of the picture because he was aware of how important he was in that matchup, purposely decided not to get his leg and quirk back so he can partially be a liability. Should I focus on how stupid that is from a plot point of view or how those 2 positions contradict aizawa's character. My Hero had so much potential and it just became mid after All might lost his power (In a battle where he should have died if you were going to have past OFA user manifest to Deku anyway). The creator decided to certify it as a kids story so it is what it is.

MHA isn't even my fav show , I have seen way better but there is completely almost minimal fault with the story writing. This is coming from someone who is a professional in the writing and editing department. I have read, edited and wrote a dozen of books and advised young writers. And I would tell you MHA has one of the most impressive pacing and storytelling ( not as great AOT or something but definitely up there) And you are here choosing to criticize something that doesn't even exist. Aizawa is not blind first of all. He only lost his leg and his eye - one at least is still functional. Plus Mirio is quite literally the first person Eri has healed and even she was unsure. Aizawa clearly said that reversing his leg and eye doesn't matter because that would count as a sacrifice ( an important one) he made and he deserves that. You are the one here who's dead set on demeaning something that's not even that bad. You want to see some bad writing? How about you watch Naruto? Or JJK too ( which gets overshadowed by its hype) Don't go claiming others are idiots when you don't know jackshit about what you yourself are talking.
